"Today is another day." You say to yourself. You sigh and put on your work clothes. If only you didn't work at 7/11. You could be anywhere in the world right now — most preferably, Seoul.
You've always wanted to be a idol, a Kpop idol. It all started in 2008 when you first heard the Kpop group Girls Generation. You smiled at remembering your 8 year old self dance to the song 'Gee'. "[Y/N], Stop daydreaming and hurry up! We have to take your little sister to school." You hear your mom yelling at you from the hallway, her look stern.
The problem is, your mom never understood the need to be who you want. "You never understand." You mumble. She doesn't like the idea of becoming famous, at that, in a country far away from your homeland. You understand why she is that way but you've never been out of the country before. You want to try something normal. But she always says it's just a phase, even though you've wanted this for quite some time.
When you get into the car you look at your father reading his news paper. Normally no one ever does that in the car but your dad. He prefers to do it while driving.
"Play some music, [Y/N]." You decided to play some Bigbang. You haven't listened to them in a while, especially because your parents hate the music and always offend you by calling Koreans 'Chinese'.
"What the hell is this?" Your Dad sighs. "[Y/N], Turn it off please." Your mom turns off the Bluetooth. You lean back in your seat.
