Silence.

I always found you cute when you were angry.
Some well thought out words always had you smiling.
Now, the distance cannot be explained.
And the words I text, you read with disdain.

The silence is deafening.
My ears are bleeding.
Tell me what to do to get back to our usual proceedings.
Half the time we talk it feels like you say nothing.
I don't know the words to use to break through the wall blocking me from you.

I may be dramatic, but my heart feels broken.
I can handle your anger, handle your fury.
I can handle you feeling vindictive and wanting to hurt me.
But the one thing I can't handle is the silence.
