Alfheim, the realm of the light elves, gods of nature they are said to be more beautiful than the sun. In the palace of Alfheim a baby was born to the king Freyr and the queen Gerd, a daughter named Melinda. it was a happy day for the king and queen and a banquet was held for the whole kingdom in their daughters honour. However the queens father the frost giant Gymer had never approved of the king and queens marraige. He wanted the baby destroyed and for Gerd to return to Jotunheim. However he soon discoverd Melinda held a unique power. Selfishly Gymer wanted this power for his own and attempted to take Melinda's soul to claim her power. He was stopped by the king and was orderd to never return to Alfheim. Fearing for their daughters safty and knowing Gymer would return and declear war against the realms Freyr and Gerd had no other choice but to send Melinda to earth and live as a normal human. she would have no knowledge of her birthparents except for a necklace they gave her.
outraged Gymer was determind to find Melinda to claim her powers he decided to wait eighteen years before sending out his army to find her.
