I sat through math, finishing homework early and sitting alone with no partner as others goofed off. I quickly slipped out of class a minute before the bell. I walked down the corridor silently and waited outside the social studies door. A window was across from me, showing New York being busy as usual. I hummed a bit to myself and shifted on my feet. The bell suddenly rang and I jumped. The door slammed open, almost hitting my face. I felt someone grab my wrist and pull me aside before it hit me. This person was strong and I saw the black shirt and realized it was Kevin.

"Watch it!" he shouted at the jock, who ignored him. Kevin sighed and helped me stand better.

"T-thanks." I stammered and he smiled.

"You helped my girlfriend, I should return the favor," he held out a hand to me, "I'm Kevin Levin."

I smiled a little at the rhyming last name.

"I-I'm K-Kelly. Kelly Miles." I shook it gently and he let it go. Then, Gwen came out and saw me and smiled.

"Hey! I'm Gwen. Gwen Tennyson."

"Kelly Miles." I shook her hand as well. I felt her purple sparks shock me and I jumped and yelped slightly.

"Sorry!" Gwen looked frantic.

"No, it's fine!" I assured her as the others streamed out.

"Can...you sit with us at lunch?" asked Kevin. I was surprised he asked and Gwen seemed the same. Huh.

"Sure. My friend, Daisy, was dragging me anyways. I hear you sit with her?"

"Yeah, quite a girl." Gwen smiled.

"I-I better go," I said and smiled slightly, waving, "See ya!"

"Bye!" Gwen called and waved and I could hear the last part of their conversation.

"You never asked anyone to sit by us before."

"Yeah, she saved you. She's pretty shy. I trust her if she helps you." Kevin put his arm around her and I grinned, rolling my eyes. I sat down again, alone. I watched presentations and didn't have to do anything the rest of the week for it was all presentations. I almost fell asleep and the bell rang. I jumped and ran out the door quickly and found Daisy waiting, smiling. She was across the hall from me, at least.

"Ready?"

"Yup!" I replied as we walked down to a large lunch room. I saw tons of full tables and found Gwen with Kevin, Rex, Noah, and Ben sitting and waiting. Gwen smiled and waved us over. I felt so shy, I almost scurried out. I even tried, but Daisy has a strong hold. She literally dragged me over so I sat between her and Gwen.

"Nice of you to join," Gwen smirked at me. I sighed and gave her a "really?" look.

"Guys, this is Kelly. She's our new girl!" Gwen hugged me and Daisy, "To the school and to our group!"

"Uh..." I wasn't informed of this.

"Yeah! She's amazing!" Daisy exaggerated and I tilted my head. A flash of a camera blinded me as I turned with a puzzled expression to the boy in the orange jacket with black hair and sunglasses on his head. His skin was a bit tanned and he seemed part Mexican. He was built and cute, I will admit.

"Rex Salazar!" Daisy scolded, "Don't do that again!"

"Sorry! That...What she did...That was so cute!" he gushed. I raised a brow as they laughed, even Rex. I smiled a bit, but didn't laugh. I hated pictures. Pictures meant many things.

"I'm Ben, Gwen's cousin." the boy in the green jacket with a "10" on it smiled. He had light skin and green eyes with a bit messy brown hair pushed to the side. I shook his hand and Rex's to find them both warm. Then, I got a panic attack as Gwen's head fell onto the table. I jumped and shook her form.
