Julian's Swim meet

Julian POV: I was talking to some of my friends when our coach came to tell us we'd be starting in 5 minuets. This is when I started to loose hope. Mia isn't going to make it. I guess my friend Ben noticed I was upset because he asked me what was wrong. I replied telling him that I was expecting someone to come and didn't think they'd make it. He was sympathetic and told me he'd been there too and that he was sure that they'd make it. This made me feel a bit better, but I was still worried that she wouldn't get here. We are just about to start when I see Mia rush in. She looked relieved when she noticed she was on time. When she spotted me she ran over to where I was sitting. She was wearing leggings, a baggy sweatshirt, and no makeup, yet she still looked beautiful. "Hey Julian, so sorry I took so long", she said while panting. She must have been running here from the parking lot. "That's okay, I'm just glad that you made it on time" I said hoping she wouldn't feel bad anymore. She smiled at me and said she wouldn't miss it for the world. This made me blush a little, I tried to hide it and thankfully I don't think she noticed. "COME ON LETS GO BOYS!" My coach called out to us. I better get going, I told Mia. "Ok, we can talk after." "Can't wait to see what you can do!" I walked to Where the rest of my swim team was and hopped into the pool. I tried to swim faster than normal to impress Mia.
Mia POV: Thankfully I managed to get to Julian's swim meet right on time. There wasn't a single parking spot nearby so I had to park my car over a block away. I had to dart here if I wanted to make it on time so that's exactly what I did. I looked even more of a mess by the time I got to the swim meet. Kind of embarrassing but it's not like Julian would care anyway. As I watched him swim I was amazed by how fast he went, I could never do that. Julian is so talented, he is an amazing swimmer, pianist, and over all person. I wish I could be that snazzy. As he got out of the pool he wrapped himself up in a towel and sat down beside me. You did great out there Julian! I say with a smile. "Thanks Mia, I'm glad you thought so." Julian replied happily. Of course he did great I thought to myself. What is he not good at? "Are you busy later?" He asked me. No,why? "Do you wanna come over?" Sure! Sounds snazzy! He laughed a little, smiled and said, I guess it's a plan then! He walked away to get changed and dry up, and after we'll be going to his house for a bit. I'm happy I get to spend more time with him, but I hate how I can never convince myself to tell him how I feel. Maybe someday Jisteria can become a reality... what am I thinking, I don't stand a chance!
