Today was the beginning of what Mick was hoping was going to be a very long a serious relationship. Sure many of his comrades might not have thought that someone as bold and fierce as him could love another but now that its come down to this, they realized just how wrong they were. The woman that he had been with for quite sometime now went by the name of Christa and was absolutely gorgeous and no words could describe what she meant to Mick but he had to find them soon if he wanted tonight to be a big success. Of course hed been rehearsing through his mind everything but the one place he always needed some help was the "speech." We all know what I mean by this and for someone who grew up in the darkness you can understand why this was a little difficult. After trying over and over again he finally decided to give and ask for help. First, he went to Felicity Smoak because he felt like since she knew so much about everything else and had been through so much with Oliver that shed be a great place to start.
"Hey there," Felicity greeted him with the same genuine smile she gave everyone because she was just a ball of sunshine, always. "What brings you down here?" She asked him after her smile faded and wanted to know if anything was wrong.
"Yeah, you may never hear me say this again so record it if you want but, I need help." Mick answered and sighed a little just to look up and see Felicity doing exactly what he had said and tried to cover her tracks by clearing the app off her phone and acting like she hadn't done anything at all. Normally Mick wouldve got slightly angry but this time he needed help and he couldn't help but smile a little.
"So what's up?" She asked him.
"So you know a lot of stuff right, so I was wondering if you could...maybe...help me figure out something special to Christa, if you know what I mean," Mick responded rubbing the back of his neck shyly and looking down at his feet. Immediately after he spoke his request her face lit up and she couldn't help but squeal a little.
"

Of course! But you should know that this moment isn't going to be forgotten ever so whatever you say has to count," She said and Mick made a face that said 'no really, that's why I'm here'.
Felicity laughed a little and then began to stare off into the distance thinking of what she could say to help. Then she had it,
"I know!" She said pointing her finger into the sky and imagining a lightbulb appearing, "you need to tell her how you feel and make it memorable so why not do what you did for Oliver and I a few months ago?" She asked him after finishing her thought and you could see that he was having mixed emotions but after a moment or so he realized it was the only good thing hed came up with all day and it wasn't even really his doing at all.
"I knew I could count on you Smoak," He said smiling and turned to walk away before she stopped him.
"Sorry, I don't mean to intrude but since I did just help you out....can I be a bridesmaid? Because I mean come on, she's not going to say no." She stated and all Mick did was laugh a little.
"You may be right but you're talking to the wrong person, I don't plan the bridesmaids." He answered and turned to leave again and smiled slightly at the small noise Felicity made because shed have to wait longer to get her answer.

Later that night on the rooftops...

It was a beautiful starry night and the table was set perfectly and stayed that way all through dinner but now the rough part was coming up and Mick had to prepare himself. As him and Christa both finished up their plates of spaghetti, he stood up, blew out the candles so itd get a little darker, and ran away from her so that he could finally do what his wanted for a long time. He had ran off into one of the corners of the rooftop where he had sitting there a casete player with his mixtape he had made inside waiting to be played. But before he started the music, he pulled out and earpiece from his suit pocket that would serve as his microphone and he took one last breath before clicking the play button. As the music began to play, he began to sing along with each song that played and slowly revealed himself by the light of the flaming roses he had got just to try and help make the mood of the moment just right. Since it was so dark, however, he couldn't tell if she was amused, shocked, disgusted, etc. and for a second he doubted himself but then remembered what Felicity had said and continued his act until the mix tape was finished. Felicity had suggested this idea because she claimed that Micks singing voice was so beautiful and it must've been true or Christa knew what was coming next because now that the music was over, the small flames from the roses lit up both their faces and her eyes were watery. Mick then slowly got down on one knee, setting the roses aside, and took Christas hand into his. The mixtape was the speech all along so now all he had to do was ask.
"Christa," He said lovingly and teary eyed himself, "will you marry me?"
And before even a minute could pass by she was shaking her head eagerly and they both became filled with joy knowing that now, they'd never be separated again. After Mick slid on the ring, he leaned in to kiss his soon to be wife and when their lips met his flared a little causing small sparks but it only made the night even better.
