ScarletYou have got to be kidding me. The principal's office was never meant for lame sharing circles directed by miss priss, and honestly, I'd much rather be here talking to the actual principal than be surrounded by these people. However, I'm never one to back down from a challenge, and Rosalina's question was definitely a challenge.
"I believe that world peace is possible, oh and that this situation could get worse, especially because you're about to relay why we should be 'trained!'" I wasn't excited about her response, but at least her 'unamused' expression was pleasant.
"Thank you, Scarlet, for that sarcastic segway. And yes, I am going to be talking about the 'training' Aaron speaks of." I really didn't like her. Not to mention I already knew what they were talking about and I had no intention of engaging in any sort of activity, training or not, with either of them.
"Yes Rosalina please enlighten us on the 'Prophecy of the Four' aka the bane of my father's existence. It's just a myth. And even if there was a slight chance of it being real, there's no way I would be a part of it." Rosalina looked disappointed, I presume because I stole her spotlight. I rolled my eyes. These idiots actually believed in this nonsense.
Yeah sure I wasn't a complete skeptic. Being born and raised in a different world kind of does that to you. What other world do I speak of? Andromeda. Now I would explain further but I have a feeling Rosy's going to do that for me. So, I'll just give you the low down on the disgusting poisonous man that is my father.
Victor Blackheart...is a ruler of sorts. Let's just say that in what looks like an oligarchy, he's truly a dictator. And the supposed prophecy is the only chance of his defeat. Gosh if he thought I was a part of it he might actually try to kill me...not that he hadn't almost done so when I was 5. Yeah, a dictator with fire powers and a rebellious 5-year-old don't mesh well, go figure.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot that the worst Paintra in the history of broners is your father. All of a sudden so many things make sense about your personality!" Rosalina quipped. I gave her an extra special death glare at the remark. Not a lot of things get to me, but being compared to my father is definitely something that, for lack of a better phrase, sets a fire in me.
"Aww I never expected you to stoop so low in remarks against me! Really, comparing someone you want on your 'side' to your main enemy isn't a great recruit strategy. And, if you don't mind, I'd prefer to leave this seriously disturbing situation...and go home, where I won't get berated for my family tree." I stood up quite quickly and then decided that it'd probably be good to make sure I could get out in the first place. "And, Aaron, if you pull another silly water trick, I will set the entire doorway on fire. So, I think it'd be in all of our best interest to let me go."
I faux smiled at the group of shocked faces in front of me and quickly walked out the door of the principal's office. I knew it was only third period, but there was no way I was gonna sit through another four periods and lunch after that. Going home seemed like the best, and safest option. At home, I could paint my frustration out on a canvas and avoid setting small fires periodically throughout the school.
I jetted out of the school, not wanting to be interrupted in my escape. Not that I couldn't come up with a feasible excuse for my absence if anyone did stop me but I had a feeling my frustrations might get the best of me if I was stuck too long in these suffocating hallways.
I pushed open the doors to the parking lot so forcefully they slammed onto the walls next to them and ran down the stairs. I sped walk towards the back of the expanse of concrete filled with the depressing chunks of metal classified as vehicles until I spotted my Harley. Yes, if anyone could call me a cliché this would solidify that statement. Scarlet Blackheart: the girl with the motorcycle and leather jacket who doesn't talk to anyone and sticks to sarcastic remarks in detention.
