Sonadow The Necklace

Chapter 3

Shadow ran up to her, and said
"Hey Sonic"
"Hi" she said, trying to be friendly
"I didn't know you moved in with Tails" he said, with a hint of dissapointment in his voice
"First, we should probably jog to school. Because, I am not going to be late"
They both jogged, side by side
"And, yea. We have been friends for years" she said with a smile
"So, your just friends... right?"
"Yea, he's like my little brother. That's why I wouldn't let you hurt him yesterday" she said with a stern tone
"I don't know why, but you remind me of a friend I had when I was younger." he said
"You know, I was thinking the same about you" she said

By then, they had reached school
"Anyway, maybe we can talk later, since Rouge is probably waiting for you." she said, as she stopped at the entrance of the school
"Yea, maybe" he said, as he went into the school
Sonic leaned against the school's front doors and waited for Tails
He came running around the corner
"Hey!" he greeted her
"Hey Tails" she said, as they walked into the school
When they entered, Sonic looked at Shadow in the corner of her eye
Shadow wasn't kissing Rouge, he was arguing with her
Sonic chuckled at that, and went to class with Tails
They sat in their seats
Amy walked up to her, and said
"Hey, I never saw anyone stand up to Shadow like that!" she said with an impressed tone
Knuckles also walked up to her, and added
"Actually, I have never even seen a GUY fight with him for that long"

*Ring, Ring* went the bell
"Alright students, get to your seats
Amy and Knuckles quickly sat down
"Today class..." the teacher started
Sonic didn't feel like listening
So, she put her head on her hands, and pretended to listen
Shadow decided to poke her in the back
She immediately sat up in her seat, which made heads turn
"Are you alright Sonic?" asked the teacher
"Yea, Im fine" she said, with a light blush from the embarrassment

45 minutes later....
*Ring* went the bell
Sonic didn't follow Tails this time, instead she headed straight for the gym
Again, no one was there
Instead of going onto the track, she placed some gym mats down instead
She started at the beginning of the mat
She did somersaults, flipped and rolled across the mat
She continued to do this over and over again
Sonic liked to move around a lot, if she didn't, she would probably go crazy
When she finished, she ended with a split on the ground
Someone behind her clapped, which startled her
It was Shadow
"...How long have you been standing there?" she asked, as she stood up from her split
"Enough to see that you love to move, and your very flexible" he said, while leaning against the wall
Sonic blushed a little
"I don't get how people can do splits, I would pull something if I tried to go all the way down"
he said with a laugh
Sonic was a little surprised that Shadow hadn't tried anything after yesterday
"What happened with you and Rouge?" she asked, as she sat down on the mat
"Nothing, we just had an arguement"
Sonic patted the spot next to her
"You want to tell me about it?" she asked nicely
He walked over to the mat, and sat next to her
"It's really nothing.... she just got mad at me for being late to school. I usually hang out with her about 10 minutes before the bell rings, but I got there late because I was jogging with you."
Sonic rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment
"Sorry for causing trouble" she said
"Nah it's ok, she will probably get over it" he said with a small smile

*Ring* went the bell
Both hedgehogs stood up quickly, and ran to their classroom
Sonic went running in first, and a couple seconds after, Shadow came in
"Where were you?" Tails asked as she sat down
"I was in the gym" she replied
Shadow sat down behind her
The teacher went on with what he was talking about earlier
"I wonder if he really just wants to be friends, or he is waiting to do something" she thought, with leaning her head on her hand
5 minutes before class ends....
"Alright class, the rest of the time is yours. Just don't be too loud" he said, as he walked over to his desk
Tails whispered to Sonic
"Im just wondering, can you swim?" Tails asked
Sonic jumped a little
"No, I always hated water....and you KNOW I can't swim" she whispered back
"Well, since you work out, and you have a necklace that I haven't known about for 8 years... I was wondering if that had changed, guess not"

*Ring*
Sonic walked with Tails out of the school
"See ya" he called, as he got on his bus
Sonic ran towards home, not even waiting to see if Shadow wanted to run with her
"I bet he was listening to our conversation anyway" she said to herself
Tails arrived at the house about 5 minutes after she did
"What was the point of asking if I could swim anyway?"
"Like I said, I was just wondering what else might have changed about you"
Tails lead Sonic into the backyard
Sonic looked around
"I didn't know you had a trampoline!" she exclaimed happily
"Yea, I put it up yesterday, while you were on the treadmill"
"I guess I was on it for a REALLY long time" she concluded
"You can go on it anytime, I won't stop you" he said with a smile
"Also, I didn't tell you, but I have to help Cream today, so I will be gone for about 2 or 3 hours"
"No problem!" she replied
Sonic sat on the trampoline, as she watched Tails leave
"I always knew there was something between him and Cream" she said to herself, as she walked over to the middle of the trampoline
She started to jump a little, and eventually got higher and higher
After she was able to jump up to about half of a tree size, she started to do flips
Backflips, Frontflips, sometimes landing on her stomach or back and popping back up
"Hey neighbor" a voice greeted her
She turned her head in the direction of the voice
"Who are you?" she asked, while still jumping up and down high in the air
The green hedgehog walked up to the trampoline
"My name is Scourge, I just moved across the street" he said in a friendly tone
