Prologue - Murder, She Wrote

  “No please don’t go. Open your eyes!!” I sat there and stared into cold dead eyes as I felt her leave me. Her blood stained the floor while her screams echoed through the empty house challenging the silence. Now I was alone, completely alone.....No longer being able to control my tears they flowed down, letting them take over. Remorse filled my heart as a new emotion took its place.

 Anger.

Police sirens surrounded the house; the front door was slammed open. Footsteps were heard up the stairs as it gradually got louder until they were in front of me. I looked them dead in the eyes.

“You bastards!! It’s all your fault!! You’re late!!”

They lifted her away from me and led me to their car, continuously asking me questions.

“What happened?? Were you the one that dialled 911?? Can you identify the person who.....”

 

    I drowned out their voices and re-lived the night step by step....right up to the gun shot, with her screams repeatedly playing in my head. My fists shook in anger of the slightest thought of her being in harm but that didn’t matter anymore. She was dead, my sister is dead. I vowed taking the red moon as my witness that I will never love again until I killed that man and I meant never. He will die a long painful death as I watch the fear in his eyes, slowly stopping his heartbeat.

He murdered her and I will do the same. Revenge’s a bitch.
