Chapter 6:

Araias’s POV:

Smirking I entered Math class instantly seeing her. She was lost in her thoughts staring out the window with a dreamy expression on her face. I looked outside to the window to see what was so interesting and saw the forest. Tall trees jutting out of everywhere in a contained crazy way, yet I could see why she stared, it was a beautiful site that I was extremely proud of. As a shifter having a forest right next to the school is good, just in case we are about to shift in a blaze of anger. I may not seem like it but I get angry easily, I just have a better control of the emotions I display on my face.

But there are times that I can’t control myself, and when that time comes let me give you a tip. R.U.N. or hide for your flippin life. That can backfire on you because I like the chase.  Then that would lead to the exposing of our kind and the whole shebang that comes after that. Still standing in the doorway I became engrossed in watching her. Not in creepy way (I hope) but she had such a serene look on her face that made you want to savour the sight. Just then her smile broke out into a smile literally stopping my heart for 0.000002 seconds. Her smile had an angelic light showing a bit of her innocence which didn’t seem like it matched her supposed personality for what I could see. Crap she’s got me spun around her finger, if she knew that. ‘egh,’ a shiver runs down my spine but it was kinda enjoyable.

Almost too soon the moment came into an end. More students came in right before class started bringing me to the conclusion that I should go sit down. My wolf voiced his opinion ‘Araias go sit your ass down at your seat and salvage whatever dignity you have left.’

‘You? We’re in this together buddy.’

My wolf growled back in response never liking to lose an argument, it was in our blood what can you do. Returning the smirk to my face I sat down next to her, she flinched, but refused to look my way. You could tell she noticed my presence but ignored me. Let me tell you I have never been ignored before, anyone who did would be signing off his death warrant. It wasn’t like I was making any assumptions due to the fact but even when the teacher did her lesson while moving from side to side of the room her head did not even tilt. She kept her eyes and face focused forward or out of the window. There would be times you can catch her daydreaming but not for too long. I was confused, my brain was trying to figure out the reason for her suddenly ignoring me.

‘Did I creep her out? Maybe she doesn’t like me. Crash. Why the hell am I even thinking about her? It hasn’t even been a day yet and I can’t get her out of my mind!’

My brain processed the new information going through every possible scenario.  Before I knew it class was over and I had not heard a word the teacher had said.

‘Lunch.’

I was happy that it was finally lunch and man was I hungry. A shifter needed their food; the apple in the morning wasn’t enough. I walked into the cafeteria and sat at my usual table with my friends but not before I picked up a sandwich and an apple juice, paying for it of course. As I approached the table Caleb was already in a deep conversation with Asher. If you didn’t know them you would probably thinking they were fighting but they were like brothers from different mothers. I enjoyed their conversation over mates.

Asher was more of a player who secretly wanted his mate but was willing to play until he found her but he’ll never go too far with each girl. He was a ladies man and he looked the part. 6ft, dark brown hair, blue eyes, and an 8-pack. He also had the player attitude so as you can tell he got the girls.
