The larger skeleton grabbed his smaller relative by the skull and lifted him out of the station.

"B-boss, please, n-no!"

Papyrus rolled his eyes and threw the small skeleton to the ground, stepping down on the back of his head before he could move. He kneeled and roughly pulled the smaller around to face him.

"You're such a useless fuck. It simply cannot be that hard to stay awake, I gave you ample time to sleep last night. Don't expect nearly as much tonight, or any food."

The smaller whimpered. "Y-yes, b-boss..."

He was dropped back to the ground and kicked in the ribs, hard. He began to speak, but before he could get a word out, another blow hit him in the ribs. He yelped, and the taller skeleton snickered at his weakness.

Sans was  then thrown hard against the tree, feeling a few bones crack. He let out a hoarse scream.

"B-boss, please, s-stop!"

"Imbecile! Do you think you deserve mercy? You don't even deserve life, you lowly, disgusting sack of dust! I'm ashamed to be related to you. All you do is embarass me." With a final kick, he stomped away.

Sans lay against the tree, blood from cracked ribs soaking the snow around him. He curled up and sobbed into his knees. He shivered in the cold, his blood beginning to freeze on his bones, and his tears on his face.

He let out another sniffle as he faded from consciousness.

When he awoke, it was to warmth. He slowly opened his eyes, confused. He looked around slowly. He was in a bed, cocooned in warm blankets. The room he was in had a few shelves of books and a chair next to the bed. It was painted warm, comforting colors, and a night light was turned on in the corner, allowing him to see it all. It felt comforting.

The door opened and a silhouette entered from what was seemingly a hallway. It was tall, but its aura did not feel threatening.

"Hello, Sans. Did you sleep well? You were quite exhausted when I found you, and hurt..."

He knew that voice. He scrambled out of the bed and onto the floor. "B-boss!!"

The figure reached and turned the light on, revealing himself to be wearing an orange hoodie and khaki pants. "Kid, I'm not your boss. You do not need to worry.

Red looked up at him. He was, indeed, different. "Th-then....
Wh-who are you?"

"I'm...." he seemed to think for a moment. "Call me Stretch. I'm your friend, if you'll allow it."
