Chapter 3.) Halls

Addy's POV

I hate school. Hate it. It's already period two and I want to go home. I feel like everyone is watching me. Judging me, for anything I do. It's like how in a scary movie, the main character is at a haunted graveyard. Except she doesn't know it's haunted and all the ghosts are watching her every move, waiting to take her spirit.

School just makes me feel like that. I was popular at my old school, but popular doesn't always mean perfect.

I don't know how I feel about my science teacher, Mr. Pedroski. He sat me next to Mia at a little table where it's just us that sit there. He looks creepy. He's tall, muscular, and has very pale skin. Almost as if he's albino, but he doesn't look albino because of his hair. It's black and right above his shoulders, so I guess you can say that it's shoulder length. Also, he has a black beard, and it's also kind of long.
When he smiles it's all wide and creepy, and the fact that his eyes are bulgy, and that he doesn't blink... weird.

Anyways, he gave us a paper to work on with partners so o worked with Mia and we just talked while we did it.

"So have you seen any guy that you're interested in yet?"

"Mia, I've only been here for about two hours."

"I know."

"You're crazy", I say with a laugh.

When I finished the paper I walked it over to his desk, and asked to use the bathroom.

"Yes, let me write you a pass" he answers as he gets out a green slip and writes on it.

He gave me the slip and I walked out. 

I go to the bathroom and do my business.
I was in upper A wing, and A wing don't have bathrooms, so I have to walk all the way to c wing.

Kyle's POV

"Have you seen that new girl?", my best friend Mason asked me.

"Yeah,", I reply as I lick my lips, "she's beautiful.

He looks shocked by my words. Almost as sho led as I was.

"What the fuck did you just say?"

"I mean she's hot..." I say as I drift off at the end of my sentence. "But she doesn't seem easy."

"Have you talked to her?"

"Kind of. She saw Salee and I make out and- "

"I thought you were fucking with Sophie this week."

"Oh yeah," I say as I laugh, " that's what I mean."

"Typical" he laughs.

I tell him what happened with Addilyn, from her walking in on me and Sophie, to Addilyn shoving me out of the way. I told him what she said to me and I didn't notice how pissed I was getting until he asked if I was ok.

"You good bro?", he asked with a little humor in his voice, " your face is as red as a tomato."

I have to go get a drink to calm me down.

As I'm walking to the water fountain, of coarse I see Addilyn walking out of the bathroom. I'm pissed right now so I'm not thinking clearly. I take this as an opportunity to talk to her.

She looks up at me and rolls her eyes

Before I realized what I was doing I find myself slamming her against the wall, and hold her there so she can't move.

"What the hell are you doing?!", she asked in shock.

She looked at me with pure fear. As if she had seen a ghost.

"I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but don't ever fucking talk to me like that again.", I say strictly, as I narrow my eyes at hers, "I'm not someone that you want to mess with. Okay sweetheart ?"

I don't give her a time to respond, instead I grab her by her forearm and pull her to the ground. I don't look at her reaction I just start to walk away.

"Hey?", I stop walking and turn around when she says my name aloud, " you're Kyle?"

"Yes sweetheart"

I start to smirk as she walks towards me, smiling in a flirtatious way.

She stands on her tippy toes and whispers in my ear, and what she says next completely shocks me.

"You don't scare me"

She stands in front of me with her arms crossed for a few seconds then walked away.

Addy's POV

To say I was scared was an understatement. I was terrified. The way Kyle looked at me. It's like his eyes were shooting daggers at me.

As I'm walking back to my class I feel a tear roll down my cheek. I quickly wipe it away, and walk back into the classroom.

"Oh my god what happened?!", Mia asked in shock, "you look like you just saw a ghost"

"I saw Kyle in the hallway, and he looked mad. Then he looked at me and I rolled my and tried to walk away..."

I trailed off at the end of my sentence and took a deep breath. "He slammed me against the wall and threatened me. Told me not to talk to him like how I did this morning, and that He's not someone to mess with. Then he pulled me to the ground"

"Wow, what a jerk!" , she says in disgust, "what did you do?"

"Well..."

"What?"

"I don't think it was the smartest decision..."

"Yeah?"

"I think I made things worse."

"Oh my. Will you just tell me?"

"I got up and walked up to him in a flirtatious way and whispered on his ear, then walked away."

"What did you say?"

"I said 'You don't scare me'."

Her eyes widen and her jaw drops.

"ADDY!", she screams aloud.

The whole class looked over at us and my face turned beat red.

"Sorry," she said, "you are out of your mind. He definitely isn't going to let that go."

"There's no way I'm going to show that boy fear"

"I know, and that's good, but... last time a girl talked to him like that she got put in the hospital, and she was so embarrassed that she moved."

"He beat her up?!", I asked Mia in shock.

"Who knows. It happened last year, and there were like ten different rumors"

"Wow"

"I know"

"What if I have classes with him?"

"I don't know, but I only have one thing to say about this."

"What?"

"Stay away from Kyle Johnson", she said.

And I planned on doing just that, but sadly, not everything goes as planned.
