The students arrive at first period. Patel and Rose do not have first period classes, so they use that time to get to know each other a little before their classes start. "Hello, I am Neal Patel." Patel says nervously. "Hello, Neal" Rose says sweetly. "I am Luke Rose, and will be working with you for the rest of the year. I am very exited to work with you and our 7th graders today and for the whole year. I hope we get to be friends and learn a little more about each other!" Rose says. Patel wishes they could just be MORE than friends ;) . They get to know each other a little more than get to organizing their papers to hand the students.
Patel sighs as he looks at the heaping stack of papers on his desk. "This much work on the first day, wow." Patel says in grief. He hopes today won't be as bad as he thinks it is.
Patel stops and just stares at Rose. "I cannot believe it. How could he be that handsome?! I wonder if I could find out his sexuality. Then I might have a chance to make him mine!" He says in his head. Patel glances at Rose, making sure he's not staring at him while he slowly smiles in excitement. "why would he want to work at a low-paying job next to a dweeb like me?!" He says, again in his head. It seems like this is all too much for Patel, as he gets to work.
