Chapter 4 The search

   Ok guys, sorry for the wait, if I get more voted I will come out with parts quicker. Thanks for all the votes that I am already getting. Ok so hear it is.

   "Help me peter, help me" I heard ginger say                        in a faint voice.         

   I open my eyes and try to find her, then I see her. She us trapped under a fallen piece of wood. She is screaming and whimpering for my help. I try to scream back, but I cant. Then I try to run, but my body won't let me. Thats when I see her britle body slowy crush, I can finally let out a loud scream.

     "Nooo" I woke up hear myself scream.

Johns mom runs into the room and asked me

                  "Whats wrong?"

    "Im sorry, it was just a dream" I said.   

"Oh, heres some food and water, you have been through alot" she said handing me cereal  and a water bottle. I look to my left and ginger was intently sleeping on the ground.

       Once we all ate breakfast we were all clueless one what to do next.

    "We should go scavenging for resources" Johns father Mr. Carpenter said.

   "Great idea" said Mrs Carpenter, Johns mother.                                 

    We all split up into groups. My group was Me, my Sister, and John.

     We decided to walk to the grocery store to see if there was any food. As we walked down the street, avoiding fallen trees and lamp posts, we saw the occasional person looking through the window of a house.

    Once we got there alot of supplies were    already ransacked. All we found was a few cans of soup and boxed of cereal. We put all the stuff we found in a cart. Then we headed back to Johns. As we were walking home we past "Toys "R" Us".

    "Can we please go in, please"! Ginger was practicly begging. I looked at my watch and  We still had 30 minutes untill we were supposed to meet back at the house.            

   "Sure, we can go but we have to be quick".

We walked into the store, which suprisingly looked as if not one person touched a thing at all. "Toys" My Ginger screams as she runs off.

     5 minutes had past and we still cant find Ginger. We were near the back of the store when we heard screaming. I Ran towards the sound. The sound got louder as the closer I got. It came from behind a door. I opened it and saw Ginger screaming and duck tapped to a chair with an old man hovering above her. Both of there eyes darted over to me. Then John ran in the room and bumped into me. The old man darted at both of us with a knife In his hand.
