Kat's POV

'Owww' I screamed as I ran into something large and fell onto the cold pavement, moments before a body fell onto my stomach.

'Oh my god I'm so sorry, I didn't see you th...' the blonde boy who was now lying in top of me started, before he looked me up and down for a few seconds, while holding his body up with his hands at either side of my shoulders. 'Hey, I'm James' he said while smiling and finaly bringing his eyes to meet mine.

'I'm kat' I say, returning a smile. There was along pause while we just stared at eachother, until I finally realised there was an extreemley hot boy lying on top of me, in the middle of the street at 6 O'Clock in the morning...

'Ehh..James?' i asked, in an attempt to break the silence. But it wasn't an awkward silence, it was nice. 'yeh' he replied, continuing to smile at me.

'Your kind of still on top of me..' I said, triggering a shocked look on his face as he began to get up.

'Oh, I'm sorry, I completely forgot' as he stood up, reveiling how tall he was. I made my way to my feet moments after, and I discovered I wasn't even as tall as his sholders.

'I'm sorry to, I should have looked where I was going' i apologized because I really did feel bad about making him fall over. Now that I was standing up, I suddenly became self consious as all I was wearing were running shorts and a sports crop top, leaving a lot of bare skin. I folded my arms across my stomach in an attempt to cover myself.

I know I go running almost every morning looking like this, but usually no one is around, it's pretty quite he in Birmingham in the morning. James must think I look like a right slut... Wait, why do I care what he thinks?

'Kat, are you okay?' James asked, breaking me apart from my thoughts. 'Yeh' i reply, not knowing what else to say.

We stood talking for a bit, just getting to know each other. After a while I looked at the time and realised I had to be at work soon.

'I better get going, I've got to head to work soon' I said, bringing out conversation to an end.

'Oh bye then, it was nice to meet you' he said, with a slight frown growing on his face.

I began to turn around to begin running again when I heard James shout, 'Kat?'

I was really curious so I turned around and raised my eyebrows. 'Can I get your number, I'd love to see you again' I could tell he was over confident that I would give it to him, but I couldn't bring myself to say no. 'Sure' I replied, before giving him my number and jogging of towards my house.

The more I ran, the more I thought about James. He looked really familiar, I'm sure I've seen him somewhere before. He seemed quite nice, just a wee bit to cocky for my liking but. I know he'll probably never call anyway, so I guess it doesn't really matter what I think of him.

James' POV

Eventually I arrived back at my friend's house, after being....distracted out on my run. This was Brad's house. Brad and I and two of our friends, Tristan and Connor, are in a band together, 'The Vamps'. I was surprised Kat didn't recodnise me, but I guess it's nice to meet someone who doesn't scream at the sight of you.

I opened the door to reveal Brad, Connor and Tristan standing with their arms crossed, all attempting to put serious looks on their faces.

'Where have you been?' Connor askes in a pure scottish accent, which always makes us laugh.

'Out for a run' I say. Well that is the truth. 'You said you'd be an hour when you left at half five, it's seven now James! So what happened?' Tristan asked, and they all raised their eyebrows.

'I kind of met a girl , and we were just talking for a while, that's all' I say, making my way through to the kitchen to get some water.

'So is she hot?'

'Did you get her number?'

'What's her name?'

'What age is she?'

I got attacked by questions about Kat as soon as they heard the word 'girl'.

'yes, yes, Kat and I don't know' i quickly answered all of their questions, hoping to get some peace.

'when are you gonna call her then?' they all asked. 'Yeh we want to meet her!' Conner yelled.

I hadn't really thought about that, I guess I would have called her in a few days, but I felt like the boys wanted me to do it now. 'Fine, I'll do it now then'

I acted annoyed that I was calling her now, and I know it's stupid but I really did want to hear her voice again, so I pressed her number on my phone, and put it up to my ear.
