A YEAR CAN CHANGE A LOT OF THINGS. 365 days, certainly did just that. After a year of nothing but sweet good morning and goodnight texts, limited, cherished visits and a whole lotta kisses, the happy couple hit a few bumps in the road.

CARTER was playing for the Flyers farm team, and well he focused on hockey, his mind was constantly wandering to Malayna. What was she doing? Was she missing him just as much as he was missing her? His mind was filled with unanswered questions and he found his concentration slowly starting to slip. That is, until he finds himself talking to Nolan Patrick's girlfriend's, best friend.

Before, he had felt like he was drowning, not being able to see or touch his year long girlfriend put him through agonizing pain, but Chloe was like a breath of fresh air. Though, she was just a good friend, nothing but someone who was there, right then and there to talk to.

OVER THE YEAR, Malayna started university, taking a photography and editing course along side taking a course to become a sports medicine physician. Her life was going great besides the fact she barely ever got to see her beautiful boyfriend. And as the hockey season continued on, the less and less she was able to talk to him.

It doesn't help that her boy best friend Mason has started flirting with her again, not having done that since she first started seeing Carter. Although Malayna should be putting a stop to it, she finds herself not being able to. The flirty banter and nice compliments are like a bottle of febreeze to her. And although she knows its wrong, Malayna flirts back.
