Maya's POV:

We are now laying in Adams bed. He is stroking my hair as my head is on his chest listening to his breathing. His other hand in rubbing my thigh which is a little uncomfortable now that i realize im only wearing one of his shirts. Who changed my clothes?
"Adam,who changed my clothes?" I asked and he froze completely.
"Um,well,I did because you were sleeping  and i didnt want to wake you." He says with his face turning a slight pink.
"What the hell!" i said pulling back from him and glaring.
"What it's  not like i havent seen it before" he looks at me and smirks.
I layed my head back down on his chest and asked him the answer I've been dying to know for the past 2 years. 
"Adam,why werent you there that morning when i woke up?" I looked up at him teary eyed hoping id get a response right away but instead stared at him for a few minutes as he looked straight ahead.
"I got called into work,but i left a note on the table in the kitchen but i guess you didnt go in there." He replied in a calm manner almost looking regretful.
"...oh" i said looking down immediately.
"It wasnt your fault i should've left it in the room on the night table or something or shouldnt have gone at all then i wouldnt have missed my little prince and princesses early life." He responded in an almost whispered tone that held so much emotion and made guilt rush through me.
"I'm sorry I didn't try looking for you or anything, I just thought you didnt want anything to do with me." I said now sitting up and and looking down at my fingers as i played with them trying to distract myself.
"I dont know what i would've done if yoy told me when you 1st found out but im glad we found each other now."adam said reaching out his hand and placing it on my arm.
I kept my head down trying my best not to be effected by his words as i didnt want to fall in love with him and then get my heart broken because so far what i heard was that he's a player and i didnt want to be part of the board.
