Okay, straight to the point, I deleted the first book since it was... well... It was honestly cringy. So here we are. It's a soulmate AU where you're delivered a ring (earliest deliveries are at the moment of birth while the latest are when you turn 19). Once you put it on, the ring imeadatly adjusts to your finger size and cannot be destroyed.
You are never forced to put it on; it's all your choice. If you see someone who doesn't have a ring on, it means they either don't want a soulmate or they haven't gotten their ring yet.
Once you're close to your soulmate, the ring gets warm. If you're so dang close to them, the ring ends up getting extremely hot. The moment you touch them is the moment the ring turns silver. You can take the ring off now. Inside of the ring, your soulmate's first and last name, time, place, and the cause of your meeting is engraved into it.
If your soulmate dies, the ring turns black and can easily break. If you see someone walking around with a black ring, it means their soulmate died before they got a chance to meet them.
No matter if you have or haven't met your soulmate yet, your ring is always buried with you in hopes of you meeting, or remeeting, your soulmate in the afterlife.
