Hey, it's Abby. Quick question. Have you ever seen the Griswald Family Vacation movie? Because if you have, then your gonna understand what I mean when I say that that is literally my family in a nutshell. Two weeks ago (the last week of December) we all left to go to Washington D.C. then Tennessee from Florida.
It was...eventful. Don't get me wrong, all the sight-seeing was amazing, and I have a bunch of pictures to show if I decide to do a face reveal (not that there's much to see), but if you have little siblings then surely you see what I'm getting at here. The car rides were long, they were loud, it made for a great combination and many fruitless threats of, "I will actually throw a shoe at you." And, "If you can't calm down you get an apple for lunch instead of eating out." We had to use that last one on my niece. How it worked, I will never know.
My life isn't exciting, so I don't have much to say, but some of my favorite moments were, running down the streets of D.C. with my family looking like a foreigner af because it was freezing, seeing the part of the Capitol that had all the art from high schoolers, standing between the Lincoln and Washington memorials where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his "I Have a Dream" speech (happy early Martin Luther King Jr. day btw. It's on Monday.), and snow tubing (it was the same as sledding) with my family.
