Chapter one

I wake up when I hear my alarm going off at 6 am. I find it funny that no matter how late I stay up, I always get up when my alarm goes off.. my mother and sister on the other hand, can sleep through anything! I go to college in a couple days and I can't stop thinking about it. I go in the kitchen and make some coffee attempting to calm my nerves, I still have to pack a few things then I should be leaving.. I wanna get there a day early so that means we shoud leave sometime today.

I go into my moms room to wake her up, Like I said... Always sleeping through her alarms. 'mom, it's time to get up! we'e going to campus today your oldest daughter is going to college.' she smiles but doesnt get up. 'go wake your sister up, then I'll get up.' she says covering her head with her pillow. 'mom, thats not fair you know she never gets up!' she laughs as I walk into my sisters room.

'wake up tessa...' I say as I tap on her shoulder 'go away.' she says loudly 'oh, fine.. I'll just keep all these cute college boys to myself. bye tessa.' I start to walk away as I hear her get out of bed, I smirk. 'okay, wait. I' I'll go with you just let me get my makeup on jessie!' I walk all the way out of her room and step into my moms 'shes up. I threatened her with college boys. Now get up.' I say still smirking I can see my mom moving under the covers 'okay fine. we leave in thirty minutes pack the rest of your things.'

as I walk into my room I can hear my sister spraying her hairspray across the hall as she runs out of her room 'my hairspray is almost gone can I please borrow yours?' she asks and I can tell she really wants it 'sorry man, I already packed mine up' 'ughhhhh im over. this is the only time im gonna get to see college boys and im out of hairspray. of course!' I laugh to myself and walk into my room.

I finish packing my things and put the rest of my bags in my car. as walk in to tell everyone im ready, I remember I let tessa borrow my PC charger last night. 'shit' I say silently I

I walk into tessas room 'sorry just forgot my PC charger. are you coming with us?' I ask her 'yeah, guys are just gonna have to deal with my horrid hair.' I laugh and we both get in the car with mom. well, looks like im off to college. joy.

I sit in the back seat with Tessa and let my mom drive. 'Are you excited Jessie?' Tessa asks me, 'no not really, I'm actually kinda scared..' I say realizing that I'm actually going to college. 'Don't worry, you can call me every night and tell me the dirty details of your sex life.' She laughs and I hit her arm because we both know that I'm a virgin. The 'great' thing about my little sister is you can talk to her about anything. And I mean ANYTHING. But the bad thing about my little sister is, she kinda gets around. And me being the virgin sister is so exhausting. She's always making jokes about it. I'm single and I like that. I can focus on school and pass. Another thing you might need to know is, I've never failed any class. It's because I actually focus on my work. But Tessa on the other hand, she's passed few classes. We always joke about it but it's just because she really can't focus that well. Everyone is still laughing about the virgin joke when we finally get there.

We find my dorm room fine. I unlock them door and walk in with Tess and my mom behind me. As I walk in I notice how small it is. Two twin beds on opposite walls I go to the side of the room that's empty while the other side is covered in posters of bands I all know. This should be great! We like the same music. I look at the bed and finally notice a girl laying on it. She jumps up when she sees us 'sorry! I had head buds in. You must be Jessie? Right?' She says walking toward me. 'Yes! What's your name?' I say smiling 'jamie.' she replies. The first thing I notice about jamie is her bright blue hair and pale face. It suits her great. She has two lip piercings, tattoos on her arms, and a nose ring. I look over and see Tessa's glare. She obviously doesn't like her. Why? I don't know. Jamie seems pretty cool to me. I go to the hallway to get the rest of my bags my family follows, 'uh did you see her arms mom?!' Tessa squeals my mom has a worried look. 'Jessie are you sure about befriending her?' She says glancing up, obviously feeling guilty for saying it. 'Mom I'll be fine don't worry' I say as I kiss her forehead. 'now leave, I have unpacking to do.' I say, and they obey. Tessa waves and tells me to call her. I step back into the room, and lay on the bed. I slowly drift asleep.
