Markets' Residence

"Bub, do you have the popcorn?" Nev
called out me as she sat in front of my
living room tv, resting on her knees as she fiddled with the remote.

I poured the popcorn (extra-buttery) into a large yellow bowl before grabbing it and leaving the kitchen. My bare feet patted onto the wooden floor of the living room as I quickly slid down next to Nev on the plaid blanket she had laid out.

"What are we watching?" I asked, setting the popcorn in front of me as I took a sip of my rootbear.

A strand of Nev's gold hair fell in-front  of her eyes, but she quickly blew it out of her face, "Stranger Things. Season Two."

I nudged my friend carefully with my shoulder, "Haven't you watched this season alone five times?"

Nev huffed, hitting the play button before resting her head against the front of the couch, "Only four for your information."

I rolled my eyes but kept my mouth shut as I turned my eyes back to the screen to see the familiar into. I knew from experience that arguing with Nev would get me nowhere.

We were only halfway through the second episode when I heard Nev chuckle. I quickly glanced over at her, she had been doing this the whole time whenever Dustin was on screen.

"Oh my god!" I squealed, causing Nev to let out a shriek before looking over at me, confused and concerned.

"What the hell?" My best friend asked, panic in her voice.

A chuckle escaped my lips, "You totally like Gaten!"

A pink color spread wide across Nev's face, before she quickly looked down, letting her hair fall over her face.

That only confirmed my suspicions.

"Oh my god." I repeated, my jaw still dropped, "I mean, I knew you thought he was cute but you actually like him!"

Nev sat up, rolling her eyes as she pressed the play button and the show started up again.

"I just think he's a good actor!" She argued causing me to roll my eyes and swat her on the shoulder.

"Yeah, and you think he's good looking!" I laughed at my own joke before Nev pushed me lightly, causing me to tumble back down onto the blankets.

Nev huffed, "Whatever."

It was silent for a few minutes as we watched the characters trick-or-treat before I spoke up.

"You know, I always took you for a Caleb kinda girl."

"I will smother you with this pillow."
