As I scavenge through my mother's droors, looking for my pjs in the tiny house of ares I come a across a book.

The title reads unknown words so I go to the long, annoying process of sounding it out. "S..stor..ys.. story's.. Fr..o..m.. A d.. Iff.. Iffr..ent.. Lan..d story's from a diffrent land!" I say out loud, proud of myself for getting such big words out.

I grab the heavy book from the droor and run over to my mother. She looks at me with suprised eyes. Wondering how I found such a big book. "Honey where are your pjs?" she says to me in a diffrent tone from her usual one. I thinks shes excited I found it! I think to myself having the same feeling.

she slowly takes the book out of my hands. looking at the cover, and tracing her fingers over the words. "can you read me it mom?" i say in a pleading voice. i hear a small sigh come out of her mouth but then she looks me in my puppy dog eyes and gives in. she takes a spot on the couch, opens the book but before she starts she says "i will read one chapter every night. no more, no less. and this is not a true story OK?" she tells me in a serious tone. i feel a grin find its way to my face and say the words she wants to hear "OK."

--------------------

she opens the book to the beginning page and starts reading. "Once upon a time there was a young girl with long, blonde hair. in the world she lives in there is magic, but everything good comes with i cost." she says as i close my eyes, finding myself in the story.

i open my eyes and look around. i am not in my living room, i am in the book. i hear my moms voice reading in the distance. "she has always adventured with her thirteen year old sister, since there mother would not let her alone, but one day, the sister was gone. no where to be seen, or heard." i look around, feeling my feet move on there own. i walk up to people asking "have you seen my sister?" showing an old picture of us to them and pointing at her. but sadly, they all shake there heads no.

"everyday one new person in her family disappeared. leaving her behind, alone. all she could do was watch. until one day a small creature flew through her window. it had white wings and black fur. it told her to follow him, and she was fu- fudging stupid and did. she soon realized that the creature did not care about her safety. it tried to get her to walk off cliffs, or fall into traps." as i look at the black creature that the book talked about i noticed its fire colored eyes, and that its fur was actually blue, not black. then i felt something grab me by the hair. the stinging surged through my scalp as it picked me up into the sky. I looked up and saw that tiny creature taking me away to a black building, murmuring something under its breath.

"the creature flied her to a black building, and once they got there she noticed her tied up family and crying little brother. and how her mother had pitch black eyes."

then the reading stopped. my mom looked over at me with a sheepish grin and showed the chapter two page. "dang it!" i said aloud, enjoying the story. "go to sleep now. we will see what happens tomorrow night." she says in a calm voice. i stand up, slumping my shoulders and walk to my room. i climb up my bed and flop down on the mattress, slowly drifting off into a peaceful sleep.

Hope you enjoyed chapter one! I'm really enjoying writing this and hope you enjoy reading it. Bye!
