Prologue

The year is 3143, and the world as we know it is long gone. The humans who survived the Calamity were placed in a virtual reality that mirrored what the world was like in the early 21st century. Of course, that means that their lifestyles mirror that of the early 21st century. No one knows that it's all really just a virtual reality, except for the scientists who created it of course, but all of them are either very old men and women, or dead by now. However, one day after school, a group of friends, quite by accident, discovers that their world is nothing more than a bunch of data. The smartest one of the group, a girl named Chisei Aka, hacked the data and gave her friends powers of their choosing. One took darkness, one fire, one sound, one teleportation, and the last took electrictiy. Chisei, however, became corrupt with her godlike power, left the group, and started calling herself "The Supreme Ruler and Judge of Life". She began to see humans as little more than playthings, and spawned what could only be called monsters just to see the humans' reactions. The result was a mix of panic and death. Then, just as humanity began losing faith, something completely unexpected happened. Five teenagers, Chisei's former friends, stood up as protectors of humanity, using the powers that Chisei had given them to vanquish the monsters. When Chisei learned of this, she tried to delete their powers, but something stopped her from doing it. When she investigated, she found that one of the five had overrided her authority over the five friends and she could no longer mess with any of their data. Interested, she chose to test their strength by sending monsters after them. If they proved strong enough, she would allow them to confront her. And so our story begins...
