Sonic x Shy! Hedgehog! Reader

  You were always shy. you couldn't help that, it was just part of your personality. you also never made friends easily because of your shy nature. you wished you weren't so shy, if that was the case, then you would have more friends. don't get me wrong, you had friends, (F/N), (F/N), and Amy. you had more, but you weren't as close to them as you were to your 3 best friends. you never really got out of the house much, but that was because you really would just prefer to stay home most of the time. but that wasn't the case today because it was Amy's birthday party, for you had to go out of the house. although you really enjoyed Amy's company and was amazing to be around, you didn't feel like being around other people. sure, you knew the people who were gonna be there and there was nothing wrong with them, just being around a lot of people is overwellming to you, even if you do know them. but that wasn't the only reason you were gonna feel nervous today. your crush was going to be there. Sonic. you've had a crush on him ever since Amy introduced him to you, and even before you laid eyes on him, that's all Amy would talk about, is Sonic. the more she talked, the more you fell in love. the party started at 2:ooPM, so you had time. it was 1:00PM right now, and you were already dressed.

~TIME SKIP!~

   So you arrived at Amy's house and rang the doorbell. Amy opened the door with a smile,"Hey, (Y/N)! are you ready to party?" she asked as she let you in.

   "I-I guess so..." you responded nervously as you started to have butterflies in your stomach. Amy said to put the present on the table by the table that had the cake on it. you did so. you observed the area. there was you, of course, Amy, Tails, Rouge, Shadow, Cream, Knuckles, Silver, Blaze, and, of course, Sonic. (sorry if i did not add anyone else you wanted.). there was a lot of people here (to you anyways). you went to sit on the couch. everyone else was talking in pairs. Cream and Amy were talking to each other, Blaze and Silver were talking to each other, and Rouge and Shadow, and Sonic and Tails and Knuckles. that left you alone on the couch while you sat there, fiddleing with your thumbs. you dreaded being around large crowds, even if it was around people you knew well, and your crush being there isn't making anything better. you checked your watch. 2:45PM, it read. you sighed. 3:00. 3:30. 3:45. an hour has gone by and no one came to you, nor did you even try. if everyone didn't aknowledge you, you wouldn't aknowledge them. simple as that. suddenly, someone sat next to you.

   "Are you okay, (Y/N)?" you looked up. it was Sonic, looking at you with a bit of concern. you blushed a bit.

    "Y-Yeah, I-I'm fine, S-Sonic!" you stuttered out, scratching the back of your head. Sonic didn't buy it.

     "Listen, (Y/N), are you sure you're okay? you've been sitting here for the past hour by yourself." Sonic said.

      "Yup! just not that great with people, I guess..." you started to get really nervous, and excused yourself from Sonic and told him you had to use the restroom. you got to the restroom, and stood in front of the mirror, your hands on the sides of the sink. you looked a your shy, insecure self. why were you so shy, esspesscaily around Sonic? you were in love with him, that's why. you calmed down, and left the bathroom.

        You left the restroom, and by then, it was time for cake. you went over, but hung in the back of the crowd. "alright, everyone!" Amy got everyone's attention," it's time for some cake!" Amy cheered. I sighed a bit. everyone gathered around the table. "but, there's a twist." she added,"everytime you get a slice of cake, you have to tell a secret of yours!" everyone groaned in dissaproval, but you stayed quiet. 'oh god...' you thought. this wasn't goona be good, well, for you anyways. everyone got their slice of cake and told their secret. now, it was only you that remained, and that was enough to make your throat close up in nervousness and fiddle with your now sweaty hands. you nervously start to play with your hair (if you or your character has any, that is.).

     "So, (Y/N)," Amy started, with a big, micheveous (did I spell that right?) grin plastered on her face,"what's your biggest secret?"

      You hesitated. "well, I-I like someone in this room..." you became more nervous by the second. Amy noticed, but pressed on anyways.

      "So, (Y/N), who is that?" Amy urged slyly.

       Tails whispered to Amy,"listen, she is clearly nervous. don't make her do this."

        "Come on, Tails! she's the only one that hasn't said anything yet! and plus, I'm the birthday girl." she argued back. 'doesn't mean it's all about you.' you thought, but you weren't mad.

         "I-I..." you hesitated. then, you said really fast with your face as red as a tomato,"IreallylikeSonic!" you were kinda shaking, well your hands were.

         "Huh? you spoke to fast, (Y/N)." Amy said.

          "I said...I-I said...that I-I really liked Sonic...a lot..." you said, rubbing your arm nervously.

          "You...like me?" Sonic asked.

           "Y-Yeah...I-I like you. it's okay if you don't like me back...I mean, a nervous wreck like me? what's the point?" you said as Sonic came towards you. his face was inches from yours and held your hands. he then smashed his lips onto yours. you blushed as you guys melted into the kiss, soon to let go and catch your breath.

             "I love you, too, (Y/N). you don't have to be so shy. if you need anyone to talk to, you can come to me." he said. you hugged him.

             Now, you knew you had someone to talk to. you knew that your shyness might still get the best of you in some occasions, but you had someone to lean on, someone to love.

             And you knew it would never get in the way of your love.
