In My Eyes

Jun shuffled through the mess of papers on his desk. Yuiri stood at the door with her hands on her hips.

Seriously... I just sorted those...

"Yuiri, where did you put my contracts for the new artists?"

The girl pouted and held up a manila folder she had the entire time. Jun cheered, "Ahh! That's it, that's it!" He grabbed his sweater off his leather chair, "Can you deliver those to Sae? Thank you!"

Jun didn't give Yuiri a chance to respond as he rushed out the door. She could only sigh and head out herself. Her phone dinged as she approached the elevator.

Naa-chan: Mayu-san is so focused on his work. (^-^) I'm going to pick up lunch for him. Want to join me? (^///^)

She smiled unconsciously and typed a quick response.

I should hurry and get this file to Sae-san.

As she walked she recalled the day she was hired to work for Jun. The rest of the office seemed to hold him in such high regard. It made her nervous to work directly for him, but he chose her himself, or so she was told. At first, she was afraid he was trying to take advantage of her since she was seemingly docile. Her soft nature collided with his boisterous personality, but no one seemed to mind this. Every now and then, he flirted with her or another worker in the company. She believed it was simply the M.O. of every rich CEO: hire the cutest one and flirt with her until she gives in, or... maybe not even that. Her thoughts changed when, one unfortunate night, he found her passed out in the office after hours, sick from overworking. He took her to the hospital and stayed with her. Ever since then she understood his purity and innocent inner self, his reality if you will. After that, the two became more like brother and sister than boss and secretary.

"Jun-san seems so scatterbrained..." Nana commented as she sat across from Yuiri. The comfortable cafe was a quick spot to grab food for Mayu, and lunch for herself.

Yuiri sipped her coffee. "Mmm, it's not that he's scatterbrained. It's more like... organized chaos... but it's only organized in his heart. He goes by his gut instinct and trusts what he feels over what is logical... does that make sense?"

"Ah! He's the complete opposite of Mayu-san! Mayu-san always thinks everything out. He has an entire whiteboard dedicated to planning the next 4 months out. His calendar is full of detailed action-steps and deadlines. He's very methodical."

Nana showed Yuiri the said calendar. "See? It's even color coordinated."

"Wow!... He's meticulous. Oh, so right now, he's working on increasing employee morale..."

"The current plan, according to the files, is to reduce costs by readjusting Jun-san's last annual budget and reinvesting the money into worker salaries, and investigating working conditions for everyone in the company."

Yuiri nodded. "Our bosses are so different... I wonder how the-"

The sound of her phone ringtone interrupted her statement. "Ah, sorry, Naa-chan. I have to get this..." Nana simply smiled understandingly.

"Jun-san?... yes... alright. I'll take care of it. Thank you for your work!" She hung up the phone and grabbed her bag.

"You have to go?" Nana asked, slightly disappointed.

"Mhm. Jun-san needs me to go gather some papers from Rena-san, and he's en route back to the office. 15 minutes ETA." She sighed.

"Well, work is work." Nana looked down at her cup of tea. She felt a soft sensation against her cheeks, "Thank you for the coffee, Naachan."
