I was walking, well, floating really to Spirit Magic 101. St. Mariah's Academy is for all good paranormal children really. It's just separated up into divisions. LIke, Spirit Magic 101 was right beside Light Vampire Magic 101. Get it? Anyway, I am royalty here, so people pretty much listen to what I need to say. It comes in handy most of the time. Until I saw him.

Now, I know that I'm going to sound like some stereotyped pretty princess fantasy, but he really clicked. I could tell that he was new here. He was biting his lip nervously, which made a small, jagged scar on his cheek twitch. He had ashy blond hair and the greenest eyes I had ever seen. The green of his eyes was ringed by a faint silverish glow. A sign of a Spirit. I floated up to him, six inches off the floor. Even with my gained height he was towering over me.

"Hi!", I say enthusiastically.

He looked surprised that anyone was talking to him. New people aren't really welcome at St. Mariah's. We'd all been sent here to be protected when we were young, so all of us were practically family.

"Hello." he had a quiet voice.

I landed on the ground. He seemed to have just noticed that I had been floating. Smiling, he disappeared. I laughed. He reappeared.  "My name's Kiera Kolton. Princess Kiera Kolton." I scowled at the princess part. It was something the headmistress made me do.

"My name's Kaden Roth. Noble Kaden Roth." he seemed amused at the way I reacted to both the words, noble and the princess.

"Well, Kaden, I'm assuming that you have no clue where to be?" I say with a flourish.

"Nope." Kaden grinned.

"Follow me child, and be enlightned." I say darkly. "And remember, you have to make an entrance."

I march inside the room, well march as much as you can if you're floating.

I walk to an empty deskin the back of the room. I turn towards Kaden. He's right behind me,disappering and reappearing as he walkd tto my desk. Everybody's watching him in awe. All of the Spirit girls are practically drooling over him. I smile.

"Not bad noble." I say.

Kaden slips into the chair next to me. "Thanks."

Just then, the teacher walks into the room and bangs his fist on the desk like a judge. The class quiets down, and the fun begins.
