you felt nervous. you were bringing your boyfriend, david, home for the first time to meet your parents and your older brother. he was coming over for dinner at eight o'clock. it was 7:30 so you threw on some clothes and rushed downstairs. "mom, dad... please don't scare david away" "don't worry kayla, we'll try not to!" it was eight and the doorbell rang. it was david. "hey!", you said as you hugged him. "hi!", he said with a big smile. "you guys must be kayla's parents. i've heard wonderful things about you!" "and you must be david. we've heard wonderful things about you too.", said your mom. the night went on and your parents ended up loving david so much that they invited him to dinner at least three times a month. it was the start of a great relationship.
