7 - Distance

[Jeongyeon's POV]

After 10 minutes of walking,

We reach Chaeyoung's home.

"Mom! I'm home!" Chaeyoung shouted.

"Hey, son. You're back. Ohh... Jeongyeon, you're here too." Chaeyoung's mom said and then showed up his dad.

"Hi uncle, auntie." I greeted.

They walked towards Chaeyoung and realized that he is in a mess.

Well, they are not looking at him closely earlier.

"Omg! Chaeyoung-ah! What happen to you?! Why are you in a mess?! Let me see if you are injured." Chaeyoung's mom said and lift up his shirt.

Both his parents then saw those bruises and gasped.

"Ya! Who did this to you?! Tell me!" His dad exclaimed while pointing at his bruises.

"Dad, mom, it's okay... Hyung will help me apply med. It will be fine after applying. And you guys are going out already right? Get going. Don't be late. Hyung will take care of me." Chaeyoung said.

"But-" Before his mom finish her sentence, I cut her.

"Auntie, don't worry. I will take care of him." I said, assuring them.

They looked at Chaeyoung for a while then nodded their head.

Chaeyoung smiled and waved his hand.

"Bye dad. Bye mom." Chaeyoung said while smiling to them.

"Bye auntie, uncle. I promise, I will take care of him. Don't worry. Just go." I said.

"Okay. Sorry to trouble you, Jeongyeon-ah. Thanks. Bye." His dad said and patted my shoulder.

I just smiled and nodded my head.

"No prob." I said.

"Thanks Jeongyeon-ah. If there is anything, remember to call us." His mom said and I nodded my head.

They then got into the car and drive off.

I quickly take the first aid kit and help Chaeyoung to apply med.

"Ahh! Hyung..." Chaeyoung shouted.

"Pain? Sorry, I will lighten my strength." I said and continue to rub on his bruises with the med.

I can see that the bruises are seriously turned blue-black.

"Omg! Chaeyoung-ah, you sure he just used his fist? I think he did hide something in between his fingers so that it will be more serious if he punch you." I said.

"I don't know and I don't care. What is done is done. I also keep my promise to distance myself from Mina. For now, I just hope that he can don't find my trouble anymore." Chaeyoung said.

I can tell that he is trying to hold back his tears because of Mina and he is emotionally suffering.

I actually feel bad for him.

I have also experience it so I know how it feels.

*Flashback*

"Jeongyeon oppa!" Nayeon shouted.

I turned back and saw Nayeon walking towards me and waving to me while smiling.

Of course, I smiled back and waved back to her.

"Morning. Have you done your homework?" Nayeon asked.

She know that I didn't like school and doing homework so she ask me this everyday once she saw me.
