Age 9 Your POV
Dad: Louis
Papa: Niall
It was sports day at school today, both my dad's were coming to watch.

I went downstairs, papa had me scrambled eggs. You need protein to win these races. I looked at him, "papa it's an egg and spoon race, a three legged race, a sack race and an obstacle course. Oh and a running race." I chuckled.

"Exactly you need protein, to keep your energy up." Papa argued with me.

Dad came downstairs. "Yum eggs."

"Good morning to you too." I replied.

"Morning sassy pants." Dad replied laughing.

After breakfast, I got into my school uniform making sure to pack my inhaler in my P.E. bag along with my water bottle.

We drove to school, listening to the greatest showman soundtrack.

"We'll see you later this afternoon for sports day, dad told me."

"Alright see you later." I called to them over my shoulder making my way to lessons.

After lunch, we all got changed into our P.E kit, ready for the races. We made our way onto the playing field, as promised dad and papa were stood to the side with all the other family members. I gave them my bag as it would be easier.

The races began, I won the egg and spoon race, came last in the three legged race, came second in the sack race, came third in the obstacle course.
Up next was the running race, I'm quite a fast runner but felt nervous because of my asthma.

The race began, I was off everything was fine so far it wasn't until near the end of the race I felt my chest tighten. I was so nearly there, I just had to wait till then. My chest started getting tighter but I carried on running, I could see the finishing line I was so close. I ran the last mile as fast as I could, I crossed the finishing line. I could hear dad and papa cheering, it sounded so far away. I fell to the floor clutching my chest.

Dad and papa both ran over, "Y/n what is it?" Papa asked.

"Niall you idiot, can't you see it's her asthma pass me her inhaler." I heard dad say.

Dad gave me my inhaler, I took a puff of it and another. Then everything seemed to go back to normal.

"Can we go home?" I asked them.

"Course we can darlin." Papa replied.

Dad told my teacher they were taking me home, they signed me out of school for the day. We went home, where I spent the rest of the afternoon, lying on the sofa watching mean girls drinking hot chocolate and eating chocolate.

It had been an eventful day, but I knew I had my dad's by my side no matter what.
