Chapter 12

Reader POV
"We need to get to the control room! He's going to breach Vale's wall with this train!"

Shin:"Who is he going to breach it for?!"

"Grimm.."

I spoke intently as we saw beowolves, deathstalkers and King Tajitu's running after the train.

Ruby:"So let's go there now!"

Yang:"Yeah!"

Blake:"I'll handle the guards!"

Weiss:"I'll buy you some time!"

Mal and Shin:"Us too!"

"I'll stay and cover you guys as much as possible.."

Lory:"I will stay back with Y/n to protect him.."

Oobleck:"Good Plan! Ruby, Zwei! Onwards!"

He ordered as they all ran forward to control room as me and Lory covered them. I shot a goon's head and another one in the hip.

I then felt the cart detach from the rest as we started to fall back. I jumped to the next cart with Lory. I continue to cover them but the cart detached again and moved a little slower this time.

Lory was the first to jump and made but I didn't since the cart was far away and my grappling hook only has a certain length in cables.

I think of the only thing that I could do and attached a dog tag at the hook and shot the grappling hook at Lory. I jumped off the cart back wards as it explodes bringing nothing but black.

Lory POV
Y-Y/n...?

I thought as I fell to my knees when I saw the cart he was on explode. A piece of metal flew from the smoke as it landed in front of me.

It was his dog tag, I cried silently as I try to be strong. I look at the words on his tag.

"I don't shoot with my eyes, I shoot from the heart..."

Was engraved on it, I grabbed the dog tag and ran towards my team and team RWBY to tell them about the casualty.
