Haruna lied again to Rina. At least she could still lie to her. She thought that she wouldn’t be able to lie from her anymore and would just burst the truth to her. She isn’t oblivious like Rina can be. She knew that Rina’s probably getting the truth out of her. And it was all probably Eisuke’s demand. She has made up her mind from that day when she talked to Rina the first time; she has planned out everything. But there is this one particular thing she’s getting frustrated of, again and again.
Haruna’s body and brain got strained from all the thinking and took a break from her long walk. Haruna was even more frustrated when she found out she was lost afterwards. She has no idea which part of the city this is or if this is even the same city they were at. It was thaaaaaaaaaaaaat far. Haruna signaled to another cab and arrived safely at home. It was almost an hour travel.
FRIDAY
Haruna’s feet wasn’t painful like she’d expect it to be. She arrived almost midnight, because she did get lost for how many hours before calling a cab. She just has a thing for when the sun is down. Haruna snapped back in class when she felt someone’s hand on her shoulder, it was a student from a lower level. She doesn’t know when she got there or where she came from. Haruna was startled but she didn’t let it show to the younger girl.
“Um, are you Haruna-senpai?” The girl shyly asked Haruna. Haruna looked at her surroundings to check if Tomomi and Mami were around. Afterwards, she nodded.
“I’m from the football club, and the coach said the even though you have great records, you would still have to try out.” She explained as Haruna still nodded.
“I’m sorry, when is it again?” Haruna asked.
“The coach moved it in 3 weeks because everyone else is pretty busy with intense training for the regionals coming up. After the wait of two weeks, you could just go to the field or to the office to meet up with coach anytime for the try out.” She said lastly before running off again. She has completely forgotten about the time she went to the teacher’s office to hand out her form of application to the team. She couldn’t thank the girl more for reminding her. She pulled out her phone and set a particular date, in the middle of the week fourth in her device’s calendar.
“You’re early? That’s pretty rare.” Rina stopped by the doorway and waited for Haruna, who was walking towards her; Looks like they were about to leave already.
“Where are we going today?” Rina asked, following Haruna.
“At the ice cream store, of course.” Haruna still lead the way until they got to the ice cream store where they get free ice creams.
“'the hell?” The both faced the glass door with the signage saying ‘Sorry we’re closed today’.
“So they’re close on a Friday?” Rina pushed her forehead to the glass door to check if anyone was inside. But there wasn’t any person inside.
“So they just leave a glass door alone? Don’t they normally have those metal doors like the huge one to cover a store like this?” Haruna turned the knob and it was locked.
“Maybe it’s not yet open. Maybe they have a different time for opening on a Friday.” Rina still reasoned although she too finds it odd.
Haruna walked around the building and looked for the back door, and it was open, wide open. Haruna ran inside and still Rina followed her. Although the store may look small, it has a big kitchen. It wasn’t just the ice cream store alone but also the restaurant beside it; also closed. It was a dual business that the old man was handling. At first Haruna couldn’t believe that an old man looking like that could be so successful. The lights were off and they still don’t know what’s going on upstairs. Sometimes Haruna hates how stores could have two floors but it wouldn’t be occupied as much like the ground floor. Haruna was supposed to run upstairs when she heard a thud. She signaled Rina to keep quiet and Rina did so. They both carried their feet and peeked a little on the second floor. There was another office. The whole other places were not suspicious because it’s wide open and there wasn’t anyone around. Haruna was very sure that she heard a thud coming from up here, and she couldn’t get any more unsuspicious of what’s happening. Haruna and Rina successfully made their way beside the closed door. Haruna signaled Rina that they would both kick the door open in three counts. Before Rina could nod a proper affirmative, the door opened and Tasers hit Rina. Haruna eventually fought the person holding the Tasers but eventually stopped when she found out that there were four other guys inside, holding a gun and pointed at her.
