A/n- so go read my wyatt book if you haven't already!! Also this one might be a long one!!

You walked into Hawkins Middle with your best friends. Your boyfriend Will had been back for almost a month now.

"I'm just saying I like the arcade better than just playing board games at Mikes!" You heard Dustin yell.

"D&D is way more than a board game and you know it!" Lucas yelled back.

You looked over at Will as you slowing spaced out from the conversation. You tried to grab his hand but he subtly shook you away.

You stepped back as you were a little hurt. You thought you loved Will and he loved you. Or at least as much as you can love someone in eighth grade.

"I'm gonna go to class" you said as the boys looked back at you, "Will you coming?"

"I'm gonna stay with the boys for now." He said. "See you there."

You stood in the middle of the hall as your cheeks went red with embarrassment. You felt like you had just been rejected by your own boyfriend.

The rest of the day you continued to notice Wills behavior. The two of you had conversations after the upside down about how it wasn't gonna be the same as things used to be. You just didn't expect this much change.

After school you went over to Will's house. The two of you always study together and do extra homework on Mondays.

"Hey y/n!" Joyce said as she opened the door, indicating you could come in.

"Is Will home?" You asked.

"Of course he's just in his room." She squeezed your shoulder. "I think he's had a rough day. You're just what he needs."

You knocked as you slowly opened the door to Wills room.

"Hey" you said smiling. You saw Will sitting at his desk.

"Oh hey y/n" He said, "I......didn't know you were coming over"

"I always come over on Mondays" you said frowning a little. "Remember?"

"Is everything okay Will?" You said as you sat on his bed.

"Yeah why wouldn't it be?" He said.

"You know what I mean." You sighed, "is everything okay with us?"

"God y/n, us, isn't exactly my first priority at the moment." He snapped.

"And I get that Will but I'd like to be at least A priority." You shot back.

"We've had this conversation y/n" He sighed, "I told you things would be different, I told you I wanted space."

"And I've tried Will! For months now!" You said. "I've been trying!"

"Well try harder!" He shot at you.

"You can't talk to me like that! Even when you're mad Will." You said. You could feel yourself starting to be emotional.

"I don't think.....I don't think this is working out." He whispered.

"W-What?" You stumbled back.

"I'm sorry y/n" He said as he turned back to face his desk.

"No, you really aren't" you said as you quickly walked out the door.

"Y/n" Joyce called after you as you sped out the door.

You could feel the hot tears trailing down your face. You sprinted home, not looking back.

That day had been probably one of the worst in your life. You felt stupid. Stupid that you let Will treat you like that, stupid that you didn't see it coming, and even stupider that you cried over it. Over a dumb boy.

Except Will wasn't just a boy, and your relationship wasn't dumb. It was real.

You hadn't talked to Will in a couple of weeks. He didn't reach out, so why would you? He's the one who walked away. He's the one who ended it.

Did you still wanna keep your friendship? Maybe. Were you gonna tell Will that? Hell no.

Will Point of View

"Literally just talk to her." Mike said shaking his head, "it's that simple"

"Easy for you to say when your girlfriend didn't even talk!" I shot back.

Dustin and Lucas started cracking up. Mike shot me a glare.

"Not cool man" Mike muttered.

"He is right though dude." Lucas said in between laughs.

I just shook my head.

"You guys don't get it. You weren't there. You didn't see the way she looked it me!" I said. "Like I had just kicked her dog or something."

"Wanna know how to fix it?" Dustin said, "talk to her."

As Dustin was finishing his sentence y/n walked down the steps to Mikes basement. I saw her freeze as we locked eyes.

"Hey y/n" Mike said.

She waved.

"Um could-could we maybe talk?" I gulped, "Outside?"

She nodded.

Your Point of View

You followed Will as he walked into the Wheeler's backyard.

"Do you remember when we were kids?" He asked, looking down. "We met in this backyard." He let out a small laugh.

"I remember we had just started kindergarten. We weren't in the same class but you and Mike were. Him and me had been best friends since we were like born. He met you and Lucas on the first day and brought us all back here. I hated you. I thought you were taking away my best friend, but instead you became mine."

"Will what is this about?" You said shaking your head.

"I love you y/n. I really do. So fucking much." You saw tears start to form in his eyes. "And I'm so fucking sorry. So sorry."

You heard him sniffle and look away.

"For the way I treated you, for the way it happened and especially for making you cry. I never want to do that again. Ever."

You just looked at him, the boy you loved, as he was struggling to keep it together.

You flung yourself into his arms, barring your head in his chest.

"It's okay Will." You said into his chest. "I love you too. I'm sorry for not giving you space."

"No don't ever be sorry. I never want space from you again."
