there were two demons, both madly in love with a young spirit. the young spirit oblivious to everything in their travels did not know that it was being followed. soon, as it matured, noticed the followers and asked them why they were following him.
they, of course, having their minds clouded with nothing but devilish thoughts of what they could do to the poor spirit. one wanted to eat up the spirit so it wouldn't live any longer for taking more than a hundred years to notice them, the other just wanted to love on the spirit because they got to know the spirit from afar & started to love him.
the kind one gave in to his feelings and came out and said "te amo". the spirit, startled by this sudden confession just blankly stared. the other growled in anger at the other.
the spirit and kind-hearted demon got close over time. the other just watched jealously from the shadows, plotting against the two lovebirds. he found it hard to think about the spirit weak and at his disposal, bloodied and battered at his feet, so he let it be and actually got to know the spirit.
he too loved the spirit, he being almost the same as the other, made it easy. It took a while, as expected, to befriend the spirit. soon, a celestial being called upon the spirit. it gave it a body and a life to live. leaving the demons to only haunt the spirit as they were no longer on the same plane of existence.
it took the spirit a good eighty-seven years to return to them and when he did the spirit practically jump hug them. he was so happy to be back in their company, he missed them in life and wished for them to be there but never got that wish.
