Hey there! This poem's idea was given by my friend may130, and she also let me keep it on my profile! It was written over a year ago, and was kept on hold only because I couldn't decide if it needed a fourth chapter. Regardless, it is here now because I couldn't keep it unpublished any longer. I hope you like it.

I rejoiced in the smell
Of this old book
Hidden from the world
Hidden in this small nookHow pleasing fiction was
I could overcome all my flawsThe world, I could save
I was so braveLost in this book
Lost near some brookMaybe lost in him
Filling my heart to the brimI read till I reached the book's back cover
Then sadly, reality took overMaybe I wasn't that brave
Chances, I did craveChances, here and there
Chances
And a few stolen glancesMy eyes flew across the room
Maybe reality wasn't full of gloomMy eyes settled on him
Maybe reality wasn't so grimHe looked peaceful
Blissful
He was such a distraction
But maybe it was just attraction? My heart sought for a closer look
So I walked to get another bookI walked
To the shelf next to his table
My imagination talked
Spinning a magical fableChances here and there
Chances
And a few stolen glancesI walked back, sat down
And resisted a frownBut then I saw him
And didn't feel very grimHe was captivated
By what he was reading
How I wish it was me
My heart went leadingMy insides fluttered
And fantasies cluttered
So I took on a dare
Glance into a stareChances here and there
Chances
And a few stolen glancesAnd then, oh then
I don't know exactly when
To mine, his eyes were brought
I was caught.✽
