Eddie pov

A part of me wanted to leave. But another part, the stronger part wanted to jump in the quarry with Richie. I gave in and rose from my place on the ground against the tree. I lifted my shirt over my head and while it covered my eyes I heard a voice. A distantly familiar voice. It was the voice of an old friend.

"The fuck brings you here Eddie spaghetti?" Richie yelled from a short distance. I broke into a sweat. The last time I talked to Richie was 2 years ago and a lot has changed. I've changed. I think. Maybe I'm still that lovesick boy crushing on his best friend. I pulled my shirt all the way off.

"I thought I told you not to call me that?" I yelled back as he walked closer. His body was still dripping from the water. I admired his skin. It is so pale and looks so soft.

"Well I must've forgot princess." He said smirking. I blushed at the nickname and he stopped another 2 feet in front of me. "Is that one okay?" He asked. Strings pulled his lips into a smile. I blushed again.

"No." I finally said. Although I know it didn't sound genuine but I hoped he didn't notice.

"Hmmmm sure about that?" He said pointing down to my shorts. I looked down in horror. But to my surprise nothing was there. "Got ya" he snorted hitting his knee. "You looked so scared." He shouted laughing. I chuckled nervously. "Wanna swim around and stuff cause if not I'll just go back to your house and finish up with your mom." He said almost sounding serious.

"Sure let's swim Rich." I said pulling off my shoes and socks but leaving on my shorts. I have an extra pair in my bag you know, just in case.

"Come on!" Rich yelled from half way to the edge like no time has passed at all. I ran up to him and he grabbed my hand. I blushed and smiled. He smiled and kissed my nose like when we were kids. Then we ran and jumped. We didn't fly but I was glad. Because I don't want to leave right now. I want to stay here with him. Forever.

Richie pov

When we hit the water, still gripping Eddie hand we paddled and kicked our limbs until we surfaced. Letting go of his hand I warped my face off while he did the same. We laughed like old times. We played around in the water like children. God I've missed him. I've been alone to long and I need someone to be with. I smiled at Eddie and he smiled back.

"It's been a while." Eddie said breaking the ice. I nodded and stared into his beautiful golden eyes. He stared back. I move in close but not for a kiss. I pulled him into a hug and without knowing I started to cry. I couldn't help it. I haven't been this close to someone in years.

"Eddie I know it's been years but I want to be friends again." I sobbed, " I have no one. I need you." I begged. He hugged me back. "I have been alone and I'm tired of having no one. People call me cold hearted because I push everyone away. But the only reason I do that is because I'm scared that I'll get hurt again. When the losers club broke up after Ben... Well I had nobody. I can't do this again."

"It's alright I'm here." He said reassuringly. " I've got you Richie." He whispered as he rested his head in the crook of my neck. I squeezed him in my arms. I know he means it.

I don't know long we were hugging but when we pulled apart I felt cold from the loss of heat. I stared into Eddies eyes and felt warm. I placed my hand on his cheek and stoked it gently with my thumb.

"Thanks princess." I smirked. He blushed. I chuckled a little.

"We should get out of the wa-" he began but I cut him off by kissing his sweet pink lips. He melted into it. It wasn't rough like every other boy I've been with but it was passionate I ran my hands through his hair and he place one hand on the small of my back and one on my hip. And I cant help but think, god I've missed him!!!

I know this story is literal trash but idgaf. I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while but I just was busy. This chapter prob has some spelling and punctuation errors but I'm to lazy to check. Sry bye.
