Slave Girl ...

Chapter one 

                                                    CHAMAIZI

I stare dreamly into the emrald green sea ,chorst of fish swim calmly by ,content that no danger is near .In fact this afternnon ,everything seemd peaceful ,it was if time had slowed down ,and been stretched out ,.the normally loud shouts from fisherman and docking men had quitened down to the gentle hum of work ,birds glided silently  ,as waves quietly  lapped up to the shore .Even the tremors and rumblings had stopped ,it seemed that today even the Gods were appleased .I close my eyes and blindly wade in futher ,the brilliant shining sun kissing my face .For that moment everything seemd ok ,Alexis hadnt joined the milatary ,Mother wasnt heartbroken ,Dareious hadnt gone into politics,and Father wasnt in debt .Everything was as it used to be .Alexis whistly gently to himself as he rigged up a new sail to what ever boat he had been elected to ,Dareious was sat on the shore ,his mouth silently  forming the words he was reading ,as he absorbed the rightous morals of the illyad .Father was sat behind his  wooden desk ,in the Andron ,as he shook his head in amazement ,as mother wandered around the oikios ,with such rapidcity ,the younger slaves had to try and catch up with her .My hand ,slowly goes up to touch the shells around my neck ,and I sigh .What was the point of contemplating and mopeing over the past ?It was unchangeable.Hope i inwardly answer ,the hope to change something that had turned out so sour .I deeply breath in the sea salt breeze ,as a wary smile plays on my lips .Water had alwasy managed to calm ,sooth me ,no matter what bad instence the day had brought ,as soon as i stepped in water ,it faded to a bad memory .Dareious was alwasy excaliming that it must be a blessing from Posiden that I could wade calmly into waters where sharks and monsters were sure to roam .Somehow all those tales never bothered me ,I always -

"Dalphne ! DAPHNE !"

My eyes jerk open at the shrill panic stricken tones that slice through the air .Dareious.I turn spotting him waving madly on the shore ,his face red and bruised ,arms scratched and bloodly  .I start to wade back ,panic striking up in my chest ,the shells and sand that had earlier made my journey weightless ,was now weighting me down like quciksand ,pulling me down to the world under .

"Its the time ,like they were saying ,we have to go now ." 

He reaches down and pulls me up ,quickly wrapping a hamition around me ,voilently tugging on every corner .I didnt complain ,I knew this situation was coming ,we all did ."How bad dareious ,surely it will be like father said -" I stop ,before I even begin ,of course it wouldnt be like my father said ,just by the look of Dareious ,it made the very idea of them taking what was vaubale and leaving like my father voiced ridiculous .Daerious looks up for moment ,his green eyes narrowing slightly "we both know that ,this wont be true Dalphne ,This happened just by me ,trying to protect mother ,father yelled at me to leave ,trying his best to -the last I saw Akakios men had him pinned to a wall ....we missed judged the situation ." He looks down at his arms and then qickly contintious to wrap the hamition around me ,winicing as he goes .His word did nothing to help reasssure me ,and slwoly I could feel hope of a peaceful encounter dying out ,being replaced with fear ,panic ,and wild ideas .He finishes and tugs my hand ,lerading me ,walking so fast ,I have to sprint to catch up with him ."Dareious ..."

He turns ,his jaw clamped tight .

"what are we going to ,do about mother an father ,we need ,well ...I mean we could go to the local ...we cant just ...what we could do -"

"DO YOU THINK THAT I JUST LEFT THEM THERE ?" he looks around quickly and lowers his tone ."Id dint ,father yelled at me to get out -to find you -to keep you safe - And that what I plan to do .We will hideout intill dusk ,and then go ...and see .Do not be a fool like ,Dalphne ,dont be a fool like Alexis ."
