Snowbirds Must Learn To Fly

Chapter 2

*Winters POV*

I wake up with a dry mouth and rub my eyes. I feel so exhausted but I can never sleep throughout the night. I sit up and reach for the water I left on my nightstand and see thats its 3 am. Why can't I manage to sleep at least 7 hours. I take a sip of water before getting out of bed and grabbing my bag. I head to the bathroom for a shower. I turn on the water and make sure its cold. The cold makes me focus on adjusting to the cold and it's harder for me to think. I take off my clothes let down my hair and step into the shower.

I start to lather my hair in shampoo and hear something a little out of the ordinary. I look around and try to listen to see if I hear it again...but nothing. I rinse my hair continuing with my shower I lather on a full hand of conditioner to make sure my hair doesn't tangle so much...then I hear it again and again. Is that someone moaning? The sound grows louder and louder and I can feel my face heat up. WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN!??!!

I continue with my shower and ignore the sounds coming from the room next door. I brush my teeth and put on my clothes. It takes me about 30 minutes just to blow dry my hair. If my dear sister Weiss was here she would have loved to assist me as I adored her playing with my hair. I smile thinking about my sweet young sister. Then I hear screaming and my thoughts were completely interrupted. "What on earth are these people doing at this hour" I slam my brush on the counter.

I put on my shoes and head to the room next door. I knock on the door harshly until I see the door knob twist and the door... opens. To absolutely no surprise it was the drunken idiot from earlier in the night

"Can I help you?" He says with a low voice and a sadistic smile. I roll my eyes at his consistency to be cocky. "Yes. Can you please keep it down I would prefer to be able to do things without hearing you...do things" It felt so weird to have to actually confront HIM about this but it definitely didn't surprise me that he was the one causing the noises. "What's the matter Ice Queen? Are you jealous about not getting what she did?" I look past him into his room and she looks... LIFELESS?!? I keep my composure as I could use this to my advantage. "What did you do to her exactly? Judging by the bite marks on her neck it looks like you had a midnight snack." I say while pushing the door open and walking in. I turn my head to look at him and he was shocked that I knew exactly what he was. That was when my attitude completely changed.

*Qrows POV*

Did she just?... How in the fuck does she know no one knows about vampires? I look at her giving up on convincing her that its bullshit. Well I can just kill her if she says anything. "What do you know Ice Queen?" She smiles at me. "Well I now know that you are a blood sucking vampire and you'll need to get rid of that body before someone just so happens to finds her here." She has an evil look on her face... Is she threatening me? "Ugh" I run towards her and try to push her against the wall before I feel my body fly backwards. Fuck. "Heh nice move Ice queen. Who would've thought a pretty woman like you would be a bitch...woops I meant witch." I look down at her and smile. She shakes her head. "Don't try anything Qrow it wouldn't be hard to kill you." she says. "Fine, fine. Can you let me go now?" She puts her hand down and I fall to the floor. She's a strong one alright. I get up and walk to the door. "Well if you'll excuse me I have some cleaning up to do." I gesture for her to leave my room. She agrees and decides to walk out but stops at the door. "Theres a huge box in the closet that you can throw her in so it wouldn't be obvious that you're carying a body. Also remember the lake isn't too far from here. Just felt like letting you know so it shouldn't be too much trouble getting rid of her."

She leaves back to her room. I laugh and close the door as I see her disappear. Well I guess Im gonna have to try a lot harder if I want a bite of that. I laugh under my breath.

*TIME SKIPPITY DOO*

It's about eight in the morning when I hear a knock on my door. "I wonder what she wants now" I say out loud as I walk towards the door. As I expected there was Winter. She had her bags with her and stood confidently. I smile at how cocky she was now. "I need you to take me to beacon high school. I have some family business I need to inform my sister of." Privileged much? "So?" I couldn't care less for what business she had. "So come on lets go." She waves for me to follow her. "Slow down. You can't just come demanding things from me Ice Queen last time I checked I wasn't a transportation service." I stare at her annoyed. She sighs, "Can you please take me where I need to go and you can't tell me no because last night you offered." I roll my eyes, "Fine let me get my things Ill be down in 15." She nods and leaves to the bar.

I grab everything I needed and changed my clothes before heading down stairs.

"Come on Winter time to hit the road" I continue to walk without stopping until I get to my car. I press the button on my keys and the trunk opens. "Throw whatever you have in here if you don't need it" I toss my things in. "Thanks" she says sounding a bit irritated. I get into the drivers seat and start the car.
