Adrien and Nino have been best friends from childhood. It was their first day of college so they were walking down the beautiful streets of Paris. Suddenly Nino saw an old lady crossing the road and saw a speeding car coming towards her. He ran fast to stop the car to save the lady. The car driver put the brakes and stopped the car at the right time. Nino saw a girl with hair dark as night and pretty bluebell eyes sitting in the drivers seat and was mesmerised with her beauty that he couldn't hear her apologising that time Nino realised that he had met his first love. He suddenly came back to his senses and accepted her apology and went back to Adrien. Adrien asked him,"Nino are you alright did you get hurt"but Nino was thinking about that beautiful girl he had just met and didn't hear Adrien. He told Adrien," I have found my love of my life". Adrien surprised asked,"Do you know her name? How does she look?.(Adrien didn't she her face because was more worried about Nino). Nino said," I dont her name but Her hair is dark as night and she has the most beautiful bluebell eyes. After this incident Nino couldn't stop thinking about her. One day, Adrien was finding Nino and was surprised to see him in the library. Nino came out with a huge blush on his face and said," Adrien I saw her that same girl she was sitting on the table in frint of me I couldn't resist her beauty at all but I didn't have the guts to go to her Bye! now I have to go to the hospital for my checkup" (Nino has a heart problem and the doctor told Adrien that Nino hasn't much time to live but he didn't tell Nino about it) Adrien surprised said,"Bye! See you at home dont worry about the reports they will be positive." Nino goes to Adrien and hugs him and whispers in his ear and says,"I know that I have less time to live but don't worry about me I'll be fine" he assured Adrien. After that he left and Adrien was speechless about how Nino about that but he didn't have time for it he had a project to do and it's deadline was tomorrow thats why he went to the library to go and research on his project on ancient history. He had taken a lot of books with him in a pile to research and didn't see where he was going and bumped in a girl and fell down. He saw her and immediately started to help her get up and helped her pickup her books and then he picked up his books. He said,"I'm very sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." She said ,"Its ok it was partially my fault too. Oh! I see you have history books with you Is it for a project? He replied, " Yeah it's due tomorrow I have a lot of work to do I'll take my leave now nice meeting you." She stopped him,"Im very good in history I'll help you in your project its my way to repay you for helping me and it will finish fast too." He replied positively, "Sure why not." She said, " I'm Marinette I'm a transfer student and have recently joined this high school." he replied, " I'm Adrien nice meeting you." They sat at a table and started to work on the project. It took them 3 hours to finish it. Adrien said, "Thanks Marinette it's because of you I finished my project in time it you weren't there I don't know what would I have done I didn't know you knew soo much about history. "Marinette said," No problem I loved history since I was a kid that's why I love it. Adrien I was wondering that our work is over and if you are free so do you wanna grab a cup of coffee from the bakery near the park? It's owned by my parents." Adrien positively replied," Sure! I'm free now I was stressed about the project but because of your help I finished it in time." They go to the bakery get some coffee with croissants and went and sat in the parks and talked for hours. It became dark and Adrien said." I better be going it's getting late I'll see you tomorrow Bye Marinette nice to meet you." Marinette said," Same here see you tomorrow Adrien." They both went home. Adrien reached home and saw Nino watching TV he went to him and narrated him the full incident about how he met Marinette and everything. He asked, " How were the reports Nino?" He replied," It was good." Adrien said," Nino you should go and talk to the girl you love tomorrow." Nino blushed and replied, " You know I don't have the guts to do it Adrien I'll try but." Adrien assured him it was goin to be ok. Everyday Nino used to go to the library to admire that girl and everyday after school Marinette and Adrien used to meet at the park and talk for hours. Marinette and Adrien became best friends and before they knew it they fell in love with each other. Its was 14th February valentines day and Adrien thought of confessing his feeling to Marinette. Marinette also thought the same thing. Adrien called her,"Ummm... Marinette would you meet me at the park today at 7:00 pm?" Excited Marinette said,"Sure see you there Bye. Adrien was getting ready when he hear Nino scream he ran out and saw Nino collapsed on the floor breathless. He called th ambulance immediately and too him to the hospital. There the doctor said that Nino has only a few hours to live. Adrien was shocked speechless. He went to Nino with tears in his eyes and said,"Please dont leave me Nino." Nino took a ring and told Adrien, " Please give it to the girl I love and tell her that I love her from my side." Adrien said," How will I know how she looks?" Nino took out a folded piece of paper and said," I have drawn her this will help you find her." Adrien opened the paper and that's when it hit him like lighting he was speechless the picture that Nino had drawn was non other than...................................................................................................................... MARINETTE. Adrien was shocked as he couldn't tell Nino that Marinette was the girl he was in love with. Adrien told Nino," I will tell her Nino." Adrien looked at his watch and saw it was already 6:55 pm. He said to Nino," I will give it to her and come" saying this he left to see Marinette. Marinette had worn a very beautiful red dress designed by herself and was waiting for Adrien. Adrien so sad depressed went to the park. When Marinette saw him she ran towards him and hugged him. She saw the ring in his hand and was excited that he is going to propose her. Adrien with a heavy said," Marinette........ I..have something to say to you." She said blushing, " Go ahead Adrien." Adrien,"This ring is for you Marinette its not given by me it is given by my best friend Nino who loves you a lot. You are his life his everything. He couldn't come because he doesn't have much time to live he told me to tell you I LOVE YOU from his side. So would accept his ring? " Marinette was in tears shaken she said," I thought you loved me." She threw the ring and ran away crying her heart was broken into a thousand pieces that could never be joined. Adrien was soo sad that he sat on the bench sobbing. Suddenly his phone rings nurse," is this Mr Adrien Agreste?" He replies, "Yes it is. Is there a ma'am? " the nurse replies," Sir I need you to come immediately to the hospital your friend Nino is in a very bad condition." Adrien replies," I'm on my way." As soon as he puts the phone down he hears the screeching of brakes and runs towards the road and see Marinette lying unconscious in a pool of blood. He picked her up immediately and took her to the same hospital in which Nino was. They took Marinette to a room and Adrien went to Nino. With tears in his eyes he said to Nino," You promised me that you will be fine. I gave your ring to her Nino" he lied because he didn't want him to know that she didn't accept it. Nino said," I......am...glad.....she liked......it,"saying this Nino closed his eyes and slept forever without knowing the truth. Adrien was in tears as he couldn't do anything for his friend. After they took Nino he went to check on Marinette to his horror he saw that she had cut her veins and had taken her life. He saw a crumpled paper in her hand he opened it and there was something written for him

I KNOW THAT WHEN YOU ARE GET THIS LETTER I WOULD BE LONG GONE AWAY. I LOVED YOU FROM THE DAY I BUMPED INTO YOU IN THE LIBRARY AND WE DID THE PROJECT TOGETHER. TODAY I THOUGHT THAT YOU WOULD CONFESS YOUR LOVE TO ME BUT YOU DIDN'T. I WAS BROKEN DOWN AND DIDN'T WANT TO LIVE ANYMORE I'M SORRY FOR MAKING YOU SUFFER.

Adrien was upset that he didn't get to tell her how he felt nor he could tell Nino the truth. He lost 2 things that day:

1. His best friend

2. His love of his life

Adrien was feeling hopeless and screamed
