Jeremy's POV

This was all so strange...

I hadn't heard from Taylor or Hayley all summer after Writing The Future. Taylor I didn't care about so much, but I missed Hayles. Taylor went to New Zealand to see one of the traitors and Hayley said she was busy every time I called. Then today I get one text:

Taylor York: meeting at the label, boardroom second floor, 11:30am, DON'T be late.

I thought it was weird because Mark hadn't messaged me either, and he's our manager after all. It's probably just something for the new album though, or parahoy. I put on a tank top and jeans and my boots and left the house at 10.

As I drove I listened to the radio, and Ain't It Fun came on. I smiled as I sang a long. I still couldnt believe we wrote such an amazing song, that won a grammy! I couldn't help but be excited for the new album. We finally proved that we don't need those assholes Taylor still associates with. It's beyond me why he would let those traitors back in his life, and why Hayley would allow it.

I pulled up to the label office, getting out and locking my car before entering. I wipe my boots against the floor mat and everything seems normal. I make my way to the boardroom on the second floor. I open the door and Hayley is there.

"Hayles!" I smile and pick her up, spinning her happily, "it's been forever!"

She smiles weakly "yeah, sorry Jerm."

I wrap my arm around her "so how's wedding planning?"

A frightened look comes to her face and a darkness to her eyes, "fine..." She says.

Before I can ask Taylor comes in and sits next to her, squeezing her hand. She smiles more sincerely at him but it still seems forced. We lock eyes and share that same stoic stare we always have. We were co-workers, never friends, I didn't trust him.

Mark comes in with a couple other guys from our management group, "what's going on?" I ask.

Mark looks at me, throwing a folder on the table, "tell me what this is Jeremy."

"A folder...?" I was confused.

He opens the folder "requests from your lawyer, wanting to look into song writing credits for the album."

I stayed silent.

"You're already caught, just admit it." Taylor said.

"Shut your fucking mouth!" I snapped back.

"EVERYONE STOP!" Hayley yelled, voice cracking. I frowned and reached to wipe her tears but she shook her head and moved from my touch. Taylor wrapped his arm around her and stared at me.

Mark sighed, "tell your lawyer to call this off right now Jeremy."

"Why?" I asked "I helped with the album too! But they get all the credit!"

"Adding a word to Ain't It Fun doesn't make you a songwriter" Taylor snapped.

"Shut up and go suck Zac's dick some more!" I yelled back.

"Homophobic prick!" Taylor almost jumped across the table but Hayley and Mark stopped him.

"STOP" Mark yelled and looked at me "you got ten seconds to call off this little investigation or else."

"Or else what?" I laughed.

He looked at me "You're fired!"

My heart stopped "you're kidding..."

"You're out of the band." He said.

I looked at Taylor, he had a proud look on his face. I looked at Hayley, her eyes were closed and her breathing was shallow, slow tears rolling down her face. I began to cry too.

"Hayles do something!" I begged.

"There's nothing she can do, it's our choice." Mark said.

Hayley looked at me sadly "I'm sorry" she choked out.

I went to hug her, but Taylor pulled her behind him. I wanted to punch his smug little face. My lawyer was discreet, there's no way he slipped up. Taylor had to have done this, he was always out to get me. I backed towards the door.

"Fine...but this won't be the last you hear of me I SWEAR IT!" I shouted and left.

My best friends stabbed me in the back, well good luck. They'll be nothing without me, and I won't forget this. I texted my lawyer.
