Chapter 2:
Tyler’s POV:
My mate and Jake were giggly and talking the rest of the class and I couldn't stand it. What made it worse was that Jake was not from my pack, so I couldn't even mind link him to knock it off.
Walking over to my locker, putting in my textbooks and taking out my lunchbox, I met up with my friends in the Senior Courtyard for lunch.
As my closest friends talked and laughed amongst each other, I scanned the courtyard for my beautiful mate that was no where to be seen. Where could she be?
"Right, Tyler?" Cole nudged his arm, smiling with his arm around his mate, Vanessa. "Sorry, what?" I asked, having not payed attention. "Nothing. What's up with you man? You seem down and depressed. It's your birthday! Cheer up!" He cheered, followed by a chorus of agreements. "I know, I know. It's just that- I found my mate today." I sighed, thinking about the dark red lipstick that was painted on her lips. "That's great, Ty! I'm so happy for you!" Lucy exlaimed. "But, she didn't even notice me first period, or at all for that matter, and Jake has been cozying up to her real fast. What do I do?" I asked, lost for anymore words. Luke perked up," Introduce yourself, man! Just walk up and say, 'Hey! I'm your mate. Now let's admit it, make out, let me bite you, and let's get crackin'! ' It's not that hard." He said, satisfied with himself.
All the girls within reach (Lucy, Vanessa, and Charolette) all smacked him in the arms and face. I just laughed at him. "Says the guy who peed his pants when his third grade crush asked him if he wanted to go play on the slides at recess." Matty Answered. Luke flipped him off while turning beet red.
"Guys!" I groaned. Charolette sat up from her resting position from Matthew's lap. " Luke has a point. Introduce yourself. See what happens. Just don't pounce on her. Then she'll never even think about looking at you ever again. Just saying." She said as I groaned again. Then I heard her voice and I picked my head up. Looking around, I spotted her at one of the stone tables outside, with Jake and all his friends, trying to impress her.
She laughed, putting her hand on his arm and leaned in. I growled and everyone in the courtyard stopped to look at me. She even turned around and his me with bright blue eyes almost like her hair. " Shit." I mumbled, getting up running to the locker room which was adjacent to the Cafeteria inside.
The bell rang and I stopped by my locker to exchange my things before heading off to sixth period.
Bad day for me. Yay. Best birthday present ever.
