Autobots, the Decepticons are on the move again!  Was all the email read. Quickly the combat soldiers and the Autobots scurried into the main hangar, preparing for combat. Everyone stood at attention, awaiting orders.

"Soldiers!" Jason Flannigan began, "We have news of Decepticon activity on the coast! We need all the firepower we can get, so don't forget anything!"

"Ratchet, you and your medical staff be on standby," Optimus began.

"Just don't get too injured, still low on supplies," the medic replied.

"Jazz. You lead the southern assault along with Prowl, Lightseeker, and Bumblebee."

"Can do, Prime!"

"Ironhide, you'll take the head on assault with me."

"Aw yeah." The old-time veteran pounded his fists together with anticipations.

"We're going to give it everything we got, team! We can't let the Decepticons get away with another victory!" Jason called out.

The human soldiers gave out their own shouts and war cries.

"Ground jump ready," Ratchet said, "In three, two..."

"Rollout!" Prime ordered.

Through the ground jump with rallying cries the Autobots went. Flanking the signal from the south and north should give the Autobots an advantage. Approaching target in 3...2...

The two Autobot teams met each other with blank stares. Nothing was there! Nothing except...

"Mom!?" Flannigan's jaw was hanging wide open with shock.

-------------

"Decepticons, we need some way to locate the Autobots' new base," Megatron announced at their morning meeting.

"Can't we just wait until one comes out then follow them back home?" Astrotrain asked, with lazily raised hand.

"They'd be ground jumping from now on, you idiot. They won't make the same mistake they did last time," Thundercracker interjected, rolling his optics.

"What if we sent them an email asking for the coordinates?" Skywarp suggested.

Everyone just ignored him and moved on.

"What would be nice is if we could have someone gain access to the location discreetly so that we could perform a sneak attack," Nightsight said, Megatron and Soundwave nodding their approval.

"Yes, Nightsight. But who? Almost all of our soldiers here are already on the Autobots registry," Megatron then said, rubbing his chin.

The Decepticons put their heads together, thinking in silence for a moment.

"Well..." Starscream started.

"Yes, what is it?" Megatron asked, "Spit it out, Starscream."

"Nana isn't on the Autobots' registry...."

--------

Jason scurried out of his vehicle and ran to his mom, who just stared blankly at the hundreds of guns pointed at her.

"Now is that any way to greet your mother?" She asked, giving her son a warm embrace.

"Eh, sorry Ma. Put your weapons down! It's an ally," Jason ordered the Autobots. The entire army complied, but all wore confused expressions. He turned back to his mother. "We picked up a Decepticon signal, why the hell are you here?"

"Watch your language! I don't know what a Deception single is but I was just going for a walk on the beach! I had an appointment that was nearby so I decided to stop by the shoreline. I wasn't expecting my son to come barreling in with a whole army!"

"Optimus! Found the source of the signal," Jazz interrupted, holding up a scrap piece of plaiting. "Must've torn off of Astrontrain while he was entering the atmosphere from one of his moon trips."

"Autobots, false alarm. Move back to base!"

"Prime, I haven't seen my mother in ages. Permission to bring her to base for a while?" Flannigan requested.

"Permission granted," Optimus replied without a second doubt.

"Ma, get in your car and follow my truck. Just straight through the swirling green portal."

"The what?"

"Just trust me, C'mon!"

"Lord Megatron: Tracker signal changed coordinates," Soundwave reported.

--------------------

"Nana, we're going to give you this. Make sure you don't drop it, okay?" Trace ordered, handing the old woman a small device. "Don't let the Autobots or your son see it, and don't tell anyone that you've been working with the Decepticons. Like ever."

"Can I still tell my son about my grandbabies?" Nana asked, shoving the tracker into her purse.

"No! He's your only son. You can't just magically have grandbab-I mean grandchildren."

"Oh alright. I guess so."

"No I guess so. Just no. So you're going to get in this rental car, and then drive it through the portal and park yourself right on the beach, okay?"

"Okay, okay. Geeze. You need to respect your elders, mister!"

Mathews rolled his eyes, "Alright, she's all set, Megatron."

"Are you sure I'll be alright sweetie?" Nana asked Megatron, shifting her purse.

"Yes Nana," Megatron replied "you're tracker will beep to let you know we're on our way," and Soundwave activated the ground jump.

"You'll do great!" Nightsight cheered her on with a thumbs-up.

"Thank you honey, see you soon." And with that, Nana made her way through the vortex.

------------

"Well Ma, this is where I work! Pretty exciting, huh?" Jason led her through the base arm in arm, introducing her to his men and the Autobots.

"Not as exciting as Cynthia," Jason's mother sighed. Most of the Autobots had bored her. The only comment she made was when she was introduced to Prime: 'Oh you remind me of a young boy I know.... Oh what was his name. He's sweet like you. It started with an M, anyway'. She began to trail off about how kind and sweet Cynthia was, "I still miss Cynthia, such a shame you had to leave her to fight."

Jason's face flushed with embarrassment as his mother rambled on and on, and the soldiers began to snicker.

"ANYWAY," he interrupted, "This is Lightseeker, she's a female Autobot!" Jason nodded towards the femme, who greeted his mother with a smile.

"Hello deary! Must be tough being the only gal around here," Jason's mom greeted.

"Oh it's not too bad," Lightseeker replied with a smile. The femme noticed a vibration sound stemming from the old woman's purse, "Oh! Excuse me, ma'am, but I believe your cell phone is going off."

"Oh that's not my cell phone, that's the little machine my grandson gave me."

"Uh, Come again?" Jason asked.
