Showdown at Pewter City rewritten

Emily smiled as she stood next to Ash on a rock facing the city, it was called Pewter City the town of rocks. Emily was excited for Ash, it was where he would get his first badge and she really wanted to see her brother have a professional battle. 

"Yay, Pewter City" Misty exclaimed excitedly, " Pewter City for Ashy!" Emily called right after jumping up and down. Ash sat down on the rock and sighed, "Phew, for a while there I thought I was going to be in this forest for the rest of my life."

All of a sudden some man that Emily didn't know was there spoke as he started to talk Emily put her hands over her mouth in fear and backed into Misty because the guy heard her talk and heard her speech impediment. " Pewter City is gray, the color of stone. This town has always been famous for stone." Ash looked at the guy that came out of nowhere, Emily just hugged pikachu who let Emily hold him knowing she was scared and needed him.

The guy now known as Flint, apparently sells rocks and Ash was on one. He tried to sell one to Ash but he didn't want a 'souvenir' from him. "No thanks, I'm trying to become a pokemon master." Flint offered to show them to the pokemon center. He then charged Ash for sitting on the rock. "i won't charge the little girl, she can sit for free." 

When Emily got to the poke center she giggled as Ash had confusion with Nurse Joy. She explained that all centers where run by Nurse Joy a family of all Identical girls. Emily found it amazing that they spend their life training to be nurses to help pokemon. The Nurse Joy took the pokemon too heal them and showed Ash a poster. It was about the pokemon league championships, Misty couldn't help but laugh at Ash. "To compete in the regional championship, you need to beat gym Trainers from different towns 'and get their badges as proof' Can you do that?" 

Ash took that as a challenge declaring to Misty that he indeed was going to do just that. Flint then walked up and laughed to Emily hiding behind her brother slightly putting a hand to her mouth again. 

"Don't tell me you plan on challenging Brock the Pewter City gym leader." Ash told him he was once he had his pokemon again. He then told Flint to take him to the gym he will beat him, Emily smiling at her brother and coping his pose. Flint still laughing at him,"Ha Ha Ha you'll beat him? ha Ha Ha" He then walked away, Emily frowned and felt a hand on her head and looked at Ash who smiled at her, "Don't worry I will win and we can celebrate after I get my first badge." Emily nodded happily at Ash and ran to the counter to help Ash collect his pokemon so they can go to the gym.

Nurse Joy wasn't ready yet so Ash got a table to sit at with Misty Emily sat next to Ash as they got food a plate of nuggets and fries was placed by Emily and she happily ate it as Misty talked to Ash. She offered help but Ash was stubborn and wanted to do it himself. Emily looked up as Ash shouted and looked at the bill. Emily shrugged and scooted out and went to the counter Ash trailing behind after he through out their trash. His pokemon where ready, so after collecting them and thanking Nurse Joy They headed off to Brock's gym. 

"So this is Pewter Gym? Alright then." 

Ash claims as he arrives at the front, Emily held his hand as they entered Ash determined and Emily just curious on what's inside. It's dark when Ash shouts but as he stands in the room a voice speaks, "Who goes there?" A light turns on what is assumed as Brock as he questions Ash. He looks to Ashes side and seems slightly taken back at the fact there was a little girl at Ashes side and his expression softened at her before turning rock solid again. 

Ash challenged him to a gym match, but Brock asked him if he knew the rules of an official gym match. Emily frowned rules? She wasn't prepared and neither was Ash maybe she can find a handbook to read maybe Ash could find her one she's already read the books she has know learning more could help.
