"Luna hurry!! Wake up!" I groan as i hear my mom call me from downstairs.
"No. Why? Not again we cant keep doing this!" I say knowing why she woke me up in such a hurry. We're moving once again. Aish why? Our life has been miserable ever since that incident with my dad. I feel tears in my eyes as I remember.
[Flashback]
"Luna come downstairs now!" I hear my dad yell at me from downstairs. Gosh what did I do? I stoped what i was doing because he sounded serious and reply with "im coming"
I quickly run downstairs and accidentally almost trip. I laugh at myself for a bit then go downstairs. When i enter the living room i see my mom and dad sitting on the couch. Worry in there eyes. Wow they must have found out about my grades in school but then i forget about it once i see suitcases beside them.
"Whats happening. Are we going somewhere?" I say confused.
"Nothing muffin. Everything is fine. Just go hurry upstairs and go pack. We are leaving." I froze for a bit. Trying to process what my dad just said. But wait what?? Everything is not fine , does he think im stupid. Im old enough to understand that means something. Im sixteen. He has to do better than that if he wants to fool me.
"Noo. What about school? Where are we going!? What happened!!?" I yell at them still confused and sorta shocked. I can leave just like that. I have a boyfriend, friends, and what about school even if i dont like it i cant stop going. No I cant leave.
"Luna! You wont be going to school anymore. Now go do what your father said! We will explain later!"I feel anger rise in me as my mom yells . I slam my fist on the table in front of them and say "No!"
"Lu~" i hear my dad say but he is cut off bye banging on the door.
"Go upstairs now!" My dad yells whispering to us and i am dragged upstairs by my mom. We hid behind the bathroom. I could still see my dad through a crack on the bathroom door. Im so confused, whats happening? Who is outside? My mind is filled with questions that are not being answered.
I was going to say something but my mom shushed me. So i just stay quiet and nervous.
"Open the door! I know your in there, Adam!" I hear a man yell at the door while hes still banging on it. Before my dad opened the door he looked back and spotted us and mouthed 'I love you'. I started to panic knowing something was gonna happen.
My dad opened the door and three tall men entered the living room. They were all wearing masks,so i couldn't see what they looked like. I could only hear there voices. The one im the front started talking.
"I see your trying to leave."he says as he points at the suitcases.
"Please, i already told you it was an mistake. She got in the way. Im so sorry, it was an accident." I see my dad apologizing to the man in front, but what is he talking about. What mistake?
"A mistake caused my daughters life, and a sorry wont bring back her life will it..." silence is what i heard for a minute "thats what i thought. Now im going to kill your family and you. Im gonna make them suffer. Especially that little girl of yours. What was her name oh yea Luna!" He says as he reaches for his gun and points it at dad. I gasp and i feel tears in my eyes. No no no this cant be happening.
"Get on your knees" he yells at my dad and he obeys. I grab my mothers hand and pull her closer to me.
"Please, they have nothing to do with this. Only me. Dont hurt them." My dad says. I hear his voice break as he speaks. The man comes forward and whispers something in his ear. He then backs up and points the gun at my dads head. He pulls the trigger and a loud 'bang' is heard from it. Silence was heard.
My eyes widened as i see my dad fall to the floor and blood leaks everywhere. I froze. I felt my mind go blank and i couldnt move. Its as if my soul has left my body. I could hear my mother whispering something to me but i couldnt process what she was saying. I was in shock. Everything happened to fast.
Then it all came to me my dad had just been shot. Hes dead. I fell on my knees and started crying loudly. I had forgotten that the men were still there until one of them spoke.
" Did you hear that. There here! There upstairs!" One of the men yelled and my mom shut the door and locked it. She pulled me up and said " Luna we have to go now!"
I finally came into my senses and nodded. We ran to the window and jumped since it wasnt to high. We just ran and didnt look back. That was it. That was the last day I would be having a normal life.
[End of flashback]
