Era- Potters years.
Schools years- 2nd.
Melody had just arrived at school. She was on her way down to the great hall for the sorting ceremony. She had a book in her hand and her hair down.

GRYFFINDOR
for the brave.
RAVENCLAW
for the witty.
HUFFLEPUFF
for the kind.
SLYTHERIN
for the cunning.
You may not always get what you wnat but the sorting hat never lies.
