The sun was high and it was a very hot day.
As I got off to adjust my hair, Zoya paid the fare. Then she dragged me all the way up to the campus's entrance lecturing the importance of time. It was Professor Dawadi's lesson and we were already late. Too late.
The big common space was already empty and I for one was relieved. Honestly saying I hated coming here early. There was a guy, Bickey whom Trisha had a huge crush but this idiot fellow was after me, so it was the reason why Trisha hated me so much. She believed that I stole him away. So, he was kind of pain in the ass. There was a good spot for him but who would want a guy always writing you poems about your cruel love?
But for now I was safe.
As we hurried to get to the lecture I noticed a figure hanging around the area.
I froze. Indeed Bickey.
To quickly hide my face, I took the books I had in my palm and made a wall between my face and others. As Bickey started approaching, I started praying.
He came to us and I sensed a smile. Oh God!
'Summmmmeeerrrrrr' he sang in a not-so-melodious voice and knocked on my books that I had made a wall. Sensing I had lost I decided to let go of my hide and seek.
I smile a sweet one telling him I surrendered.
'I knew you were here' his smile widen almost showing his thirty two teeth.
'How?' I asked hurrying to the lecture room with Zoya, somehow I needed to get inside there and I would be safe. Unfortunately the room was on another block.
'I knew it as, when you kept your books as border, I saw your name tags.'
Tomorrow I am going to rip off my covers I thought as the door to my classroom neared. As I half ran towards the door, someone griped my arms. Surprised I looked at Bickey who was the one hooking me. I looked at him puzzled as he released his grip.
'Sun, I've wrote a poem for you.' He said with a hurt in his eyes, 'And its topic is Incarnated souls.'
'Bickey, I would love to listen to your poem but seeing as we are already late. I think we need to hurry inside.' I said as I dragged myself to the door.
Strange! Everything was silent.
As I turned to look inside the classroom, WOW! Professor Dawadi had stopped and he was looking at us as if questioning that why we were late, again. Along with the professor everyone were looking at us. Me, Zoya and Bickey lay there facing the giant people's stare.
You can't possible feel comfortable when people sitting in a room as big as the UN Conference room looking at you. Of course my classroom consist of two hundred members and the professor did had to speak in a microphone which now lay untouched as he stared at us. Finally he sighed at and asked us to enter.
Now the big problem was seat selection. When we finally stepped into classroom, we found our favorite seat hijacked. It was by a boy, I don't know much about the boy but I know that he is indeed the topper. I cannot confirm that the boy was handsome but that was my seat so I couldn't give up. There were not so many seats left so I went towards the boy and sat down beside him, as for Zoya she got beside Luz and the remaining Bickey went towards Trisha and sat down. Thank God!
