The sunlight spilled through my blinds, covering my face with a natural glow. I grabbed my phone which was sitting on my side table connected to the charger. I looked through the notifications to see if any had caught my eye, or had interested me.

"Taylor 💕: I miss you baby and

Can't wait to see you."

It was me and Taylor's one year anniversary and I was completely ecstatic. I lifted my blankets off of me, letting all of the cold air pierce my skin. Slowly lowering my legs to the ground, I slipped on a pair of pink and blue fuzzy socks that I got from my grandma two Christmas's ago.

I could smell bacon and pancakes. I rushed downstairs, barely missing a step and almost dying. I entered the dining room where my sister Demi, my brother Justin, and my dad Tom were sitting.

"Hi, Sydney. Nice to see you've actually woken up at a decent time." He said smirking.

"Actually, I have a date to go on with Tay later on in the afternoon and I want to look good. It's our one year anniversary." I said grabbing a plate for my breakfast.

"Sydney, your boyfriends hot!" Demi said smiling. Which she had just lost her two top front teeth, and looked like a sea walrus whenever she smiled.

I poured some maple syrup onto my pancakes and I headed back upstairs. I set my plate down and briefly checked my phone. I had three missed calls from Taylor.

I say back down on my bed and began to dial Taylor's number. It rang, and then he answered.

"Hey, Sydney! I love you so much and I cannot wait another minute to see you. Honestly. Were going to have so much fun tonight. We're gonna take the rover to the movies if you don't mind." He said giggling.

"That's perfectly fine with me," I said smiling, "and what color do you think would look best on me? Coral or mint?" I said holding up two dresses.

There was a long pause and suddenly his beautiful voice came trough.

"I'd say mint." He replied.

"Okay! I'll see you in a few. I love you babe." I said before he ended the call.

I stumbled into the bathroom, still half asleep, and uncovered my curling wand. I washed my face and brushed my teeth and combed my hair.

I looked down, only to find my ugly, disappointing scars. I knew I had a problem, but I just didn't want to admit it. And Taylor even said he wanted to help me get through it. But there's something about self-harm that helps me, even though it doesn't.

Ignoring the fact that I forgot to put coverup on my cuts, I began to curl my hair. They were tight curls that bounced every time I took a step, which I absolutely loved. I had a black smokey eye and a light red lipstick. I decided to go with a white dress that flowed down to my feet.

I grabbed my phone and my purse and again, headed downstairs.

"Bye dad, bye Demi, bye Justin." I said swinging my purse around my shoulder.

"Bye" they all said from different rooms in the house.

I walked out into my garage and opened up the door. I could see Taylor's black Range Rover sitting in the driveway. I immediately got excited and ran out to see him. He was dressed in a fancy black tuxedo with a grey tie on. He had fancy, shiny, dress shoes on and a silver watch.

"Hey!" He said kissing me on the lips.

"Hi!" I said smiling back.

"Well, you ready to go?" He said pointing to the car and smirking.

"Yes!" I said.

"Ladies first." He said winking.
