"Why would two monsters like Erza and Reaper need my power?!" Natsu wondered aloud. "I don't know! But if anybody should be saved from this, it should be me!" Gray retorted. "Then you just go with them aloneness!! I don't wanna go!!" Natsu argued while butting heads with Gray. "Then don't!! I'll just get Erza and Reaper to kill you afterward!" Gray argued back. "Your fight's causing problems for everyone else! Stop it now!" Lucy shouted at the two. "I don't get it! Why do you two fight all the time?!" Lucy huffed while crossing her arms. Gray and Natsu turned to look at Lucy. "Why're you here anyway?" Natsu asked. "Because Mira asked me to come!" Lucy explained.
*Flashback*
Fairy Tail Bar
"Those four might make a wonderfully strong team, but their tendency to fight, besides Reaper, is rather worrisome. Lucy, could you go and mediate them?" Mira asked Lucy while cleaning a glass. "WHAT?!!" Lucy shouted in surprise.
*Flashback end*
Reaper's House
Reaper was looking at himself in the mirror, his cloak and mask removed. His red eyes showed noting but guilt and pain while he traced the scar that went across his right eye. His pale skin seemed to glow in the dim light as well as his bright white hair. Erza knocked on his room door and looked at him sadly. "Reaper, it's time to go...." she said quietly.
"Why? Why did my brother have to die?" Reaper said not looking at her. "Matthew.... It's not your fault...." Erza said comfortingly. "YES IT IS!!!! I WAS A COWARD AND BECAUSE OF THAT HE'S DEAD!!!! IT ALSO RESULTED WITH ME HAVING MY SOUL IN NOTHING BUT A MAGICAL CONTAINER STUCK IN MY CHEST!!!" he yelled at Erza, turning around to show that he had tears streaming down his face. "He's dead, and it's all my fault...." he said as he was sobbing. "Matthew... Cory wouldn't want you being like this. He knew what would've happened to him as a result." Erza said quietly while kneeling down and hugged Reaper lovingly. "I miss him so god damn much..." Reaper said with his head in the crook of Erza neck still sobbing. "Me too, but we need to be strong for his sake. Now let's get going okay?" Erza told him helping him up. Reaper got up and got his stuff and put on his mask and cloak.
Back at Mongolia Station
Reaper and Erza walked up to them, Reaper void of emotion and Erza trying to hide her sadness. Erza was pulling her luggage in a massive cart behind her which Lucy noticed. "Sorry. Did we keep you waiting?" Erza asked. "That is.....A LOT OF STUFF!" Lucy said as her jaw dropped. "Hm? Didn't me and Reaper see you yesterday at Fairy Tail?" Erza asked. "And I thought NATSU was unobservant." Reaper told Erza with no joy in his voice which worried Lucy. "Hey! That's not true! Most of the time...." Erza said with a mock pout. "I'm a new member. My name is Lucy." She told them. "Mira asked me to go with you." she continued. "Of course she did..." Reaper said under his breath. "It's nice to meet you." Lucy said not hearing Reaper. "My name is Erza. That's Reaper." Erza said while Reaper just stayed quiet and nodded in greeting at Lucy. "Nice to meet you." Erza continued. "Ah! I see. So you're the girl that everyone at the guild was talking about." Erza noticed. "You took down some bodyguard gorilla, right? We can use you." Erza said. "What do you think Reaper?" Erza asked turning her head to Reaper. "For one so young and small, her soul is quite strong. She could possibly be more powerful than Natsu." Reaper said looking at the sky. "That was Natsu.... And the story's gotten a little garbled... WAIT DID HE SAY SOUL!!!" Lucy exclaimed. "I'd rather not explain it, but it's part of why I'm called Reaper." he said lowly while looking at the ground. Erza put her hand on his shoulder and looked at him with pity and sadness in her eyes. "I told you earlier, it's not your fault. There's nothing you could've done." Erza said quietly while giving the 'ask about it and I'll kill you' look at Lucy.
