Kai's POV
After finding out Suho only liked Su jin as a sister I felt relieved. I wasn't mad anymore and I was excited to go shopping for Su jin's birthday present after school. I left school and headed straight to the mall. I walked around for a while and I couldn't find anything. All the cloths I saw would look good on her so I couldn't make up my mind on what to pick.
"Aish , what should I get her?" I said out loud.
"Looking for a gift for your girlfriend ?" An ahjumma asked me , she must've overheard me.
"Excuse me ?" I said.
"By the looks of it it must be her birthday, come I have the perfect thing." She said leading me into her shop. She had a lot of accessories and pretty things.
"This will be perfect" She said pulling out a box that held two handmade red bracelets.
"I'll take one" I said.
"Oh no young boy you must buy both , it's a couples set. One for you and one for your girlfriend." The ahjumma said smiling.
"Well I guess I'll have to buy both." I said going with the flow. I paid for the bracelets and thanked the lady. I walked and held up the bag to my face and kept smiling like an idiot. Couple bracelets? I felt a bit embarrassed but obviously Su jin wouldn't know it was a couples set. I pulled my bracelet out of the box and put it in my pocket. I walked to Su jin's building and remembered that she said she lived on the seventh floor but I couldn't remember what exact apartment ..... was it 704 ? No no it was 705. I rang the door bell and I'm not gonna lie I was pretty nervous.
"Who are you?" Said a man through the microphone.
"Uhm I'm a friend of Su jin's." I replied
"Oh ok."
He opened the door and I introduced my self. "Hello My name is Kai"
"Hello" Said the man.
"Could you give this to Su jin it's her birthday present." I said turning around to leave.
"Stay for dinner , you should give it to her yourself."
"Can I?" I asked and he said yes. We walked into the apartment and it was very modernly decorated.
"I'm Su jins uncle , she's still getting ready , you know girls." He said and I just smiled and nodded. So this must be Sehun's dad.
"I'm ready!" Su jin said coming out of her room. "Oh Kai , what are you doing here?" She asked surprised.
"I came to drop off your present and your uncle invited me to your birthday dinner." I replied.
"That's good , I was going to invite you but I totaly forgot at school and I don't have your number. GIve me your phone I'll put my number in." She said putting her hand out. I gave her my phone and she put her number in and took a selca for her contact picture.
"We got the cake!" Sehun said as he entered the house with a man.
"Kai? Whatsup." Sehun said placing the cake on the table.
"Oh hey."
"Hello I'm Su jin's dad." Said the man.
"I'm Su jin's friend Kai" I said bending over and bowing.
"Dinner is ready" Said Su jins uncle from the kitchen. All the food was set up on the table. During the dinner it was fun Su jin sat next to me which made me a little nervous. Her dad and uncle kept talking about Su jin and how she was a child. Before I knew it it was time to open the presents.
"Ooo it's my favorite part of today, presents " Su jin said so cutely.
"Here you go" Sehun said handing Su jin a pink bag she opened it and inside was a Rilukuma doll and a box of chocolates.
"Thanks oppa!" She said giving Sehun a hug.
"Your welcome" He said smiling.
"I'm next , here you go" Said her uncle handing her a box.
"Ooooh new shoes, thanks uncle " She said and she also gave him a hug.
"Here you go princess" said her dad. He gave her a pair of really nice diamond earrings.
"Thanks dad" She said. Oh crap! My turn was coming up.
"Here you go it's nothing special" I said. She opened the box and saw the bracelet.
"Thank you it's really pretty" She said hugging me and catching me off guard. There it goes again i felt frozen. My heart started beating faster than ever. When she pulled away I wanted to pull her back into a hug, but I knew I couldn't. After we ate some cake I was getting ready to leave.
"Thanks for having me over it was nice meeting you." I said to her family and headed to the door.
"I'll walk you down" Su jin said.
"I had fun" I said as we rode the elevator downstairs.
"Me too thanks for coming. I really like the bracelet it's super pretty." She said smiling. That smile it's so beautiful.
"Good night" I said as we arrived at the lobby.
"Goodnight Kai."
"Oh yeah one more thing." "Happy Birthday! I said giving her a hug. I didn't want to let go but I had to or else she would feel my rapid heartbeat. "Bye" I said finally leaving.
I looked back and Su jin waved good bye. I thought to my self that today was a great day.
