I woke up late seeing how it was Sunday and classes don't start till tomorrow. So far all I have done today is unpack my stuff and get all my things ready for tomorrow. Becca left earlier to go shopping for a good "first day of school outfit".
As much as I wanted to tell Becca about last night I just didn't have it in me. Right when I walked through the door all that came out of her mouth was Harry this, Harry that. It seemed as though she really liked him and I pitied her because the feelings were not mutual. Harry made it obvious that he isn't much of a settling guy. He basically takes advantage and then leaves before he has to deal with attachment. I also pitied him. If he he thinks he can continue this act forever he is dearly mistaken. I was torn from my thoughts when someone knocked at the door. I opened it to see Harry leaned up against the door frame.
"What happened to you never seeing her again"
"What makes you so interested?", I could practically hear the smirk in voice.
I snapped my head towards him, "I'm not", I said defensively, "Gosh I hate it when you do that".
"No you don't", there was that deadly smirk again
"Yeah, I really do. What are you doing here anyways, Becca isn't even here, she went shopping"
"Thanks for the 411 on Becca's whereabouts but I came here to see you actually"
"Hate to break it to ya but I don't want to be the next victim of your hit and run." I snarl.
"Ha don't think so highly of your self. I'm just the flyer guy take it or leave it" He was holding out a blue paper that said BACK TO SCHOOL PARTY: BE THERE OR BE SQUARE.
"Have you ever had alcohol before?" he questioned while sitting on my bed.
"What do you think?". He just stared at me blankly.
"Yes of course I have had alcohol before! I'm not a nun for Christ sake!"
"Hey you can't blame me for asking... You're just so uptight", He said slowly inching towards me, which caused me to quickly move further away.
"Are you a virgin, Lucinda?", he asked so close to my ear I could feel his breath on my skin. With that I quickly stood up and went towards the door.
"I think you should go", I stuttered.
"Only cause you asked. But I'm gonna take my last question as a yes and I just want you to know my door is always open. I kinda have a 24 hour service going" He started to back his way out of my room.
"Oh and Lucinda!" I hear him yell just as I was about to shut my door.
"Its Lucy"
"Yeah well tell Becca if she's interested in picking up were we left off to be at the party tonight"
"You're such a pig"
"You better believe it baby" He licked his lips, winked, and walked into his room.
Wow this is going to be a long year.
I was planning on not telling Becca about the party. I knew that she would drag me to it which was something I really didn't want to do. I even ripped up the flyer and hid it in my drawer.
"Did you hear about tonight?", Becca squealed running through the door.
Great.
"Yeah about that, I think I'm just going to stay here for tonight"
"Oh no you don't. You have to come it's going to be crawling with hot boys. Oh and I bet Harry is going to be there" At this point she was just talking to herself.
"Yeah well tomorrow's school and I kinda wanted to get sleep tonight", I argued with her. There was really no point though because I knew I was fighting a battle I was destined to lose.
"You can borrow some of my clothes if you want! Not that you don't have attractive clothes, but you're not having many party clothes options in here" I turn over to see her looking through my closet.
"Alright. What do you got?" I give up.
