R E A L L I F E !
amelia and wyatt were walking towards amelia's house as quickly and quietly as possible- since it was almost midnight and wyatt's mom had just dropped them off. she was parked further down the street since she couldn't find another spot, waiting for amelia to safely get home, and for wyatt to return to the car.
"wyatt, keep walking loud and i swear i'll punch you." amelia rolls her eyes and looks over to wyatt, who stops walking as soon as she finishes her sentence. amelia stops as well, noticing that her friend was no longer following her.
"it's the flip-flops! you can't blame me!" wyatt whisper-shouts as he points to his shoes, which were in fact flip-flops.
"i told you not to wear them you goof!" amelia whisper-shouts back as she throws her hands in the air, obviously exasperated with him.
"well this wouldn't be a problem if you had come home earlier! why'd we have to drop you off this late anyway?" wyatt asks.
"because!" amelia responds, and then continues to walk towards her house, a bit faster than she had been walking beforehand.
wyatt begins to speed-walk to catch up to her, and when he finally does he says, "that's not an answer, lia."
"just don't wanna see someone s'all." amelia looks down, her shoes apparently seeming quite interesting at the moment.
"by 'someone' do you mean caleb?"
"what! no. obviously not." amelia rolls her eyes as wyatt snorts and says, "sure."
"i'm serious! plus, admit it, you missed me and wish i could've stayed for longer." amelia nudges wyatt's shoulder, the sudden movement causing wyatt to lose his balance for a moment which caused amelia to break into a fit of laughter.
"you idiot!" she says in-between laughs as wyatt shakes his head at her.
"you're being loud! my flip-flops have nothing on this noise."
"your flops are shaking."
"did you just call me a flop?"
"indeed. wyatt jess oleff: the flop." amelia nods and attempts to keep her face serious, but fails and soon both of them are laughing again.
"we're such idiots."
"agreed."
they fall into silence, and soon they reach amelia's front door. both kids stop and amelia begins to take out her key from her pocket to unlock her door as wyatt stands, hands in his pocket, patiently waiting for her.
once amelia's door is unlocked she opens it, just a bit, before turning around to look at wyatt.
"thanks for walking me here."
"my mom made me." wyatt takes his hands out of his pockets, shrugs his shoulders, and gives a "what-can-you-do" expression.
"yeah, sadly. please leave the premises." amelia jokes, before suddenly reaching out to hug wyatt.
"seriously though, thank you for letting me stay at yours for a bit." amelia tells him.
"of course, lia. anytime. don't take that seriously, though. i'm not letting you hide from caleb at my house everyday till he moves out."
amelia pulls away from wyatt and says, "i couldn't handle seeing your ugly face everyday, anyway. jokes on you."
"boo-hoo." wyatt dryly replies, and gives off a bored expression.
"yeah, yeah. whatever. go back to your mom, loser." she says, shoving his shoulder.
"only because i'm being attacked." wyatt winces and brings his hand to his shoulder to massage it, as if he were in pain.
"shut up." amelia rolls her eyes.
"no thanks. bye though." wyatt responds before turning around to begin walking towards his mother's car.
"goodbye, ugly. be safe!" amelia tells him before he got too far not to hear it.
"will do." wyatt says. he doesn't turn around, but salutes her as an acknowledgement instead.
amelia turns around- after waiting for wyatt to fully disappear out of her sight- to finally go inside her house. her and wyatt may sometimes (a lot of the time, actually) act as though they hate each other, but they both have a lot of love for each other (deep down).
as usual, amelia is greeted to an empty house, with her mom probably still at work and her dad out on a business trip.
she goes upstairs, to her room, after getting ready for bed and grabbing a bottle of water. once in her room, she goes to get comfy in her bed, turns on the tv, and gets on her phone. this causes her to completely ignore what's on tv, something that's become somewhat of a daily routine for her.
"if i see another one of these comments i'm murdering myself." amelia sighs, rolling her eyes after repeatedly seeing people asking about caleb in her mentions.
she didn't hate him. at all. she didn't mind the comments, either. she just wasn't exactly excited about being spammed with multiple amounts of the same thing.
eventually, amelia decides to turn off her phone, and tv, and goes to sleep. definitely not with the thought of caleb on her mind.
